The New Moon in Gemini
The New Moon in Gemini brings a fresh burst of energy to communication, curiosity, and learning and teaching. Gemini, ruled by Mercury, the messenger of the gods, also emphasizes the exchange of ideas, adaptability, and social interactions. This is a time when you might feel more inclined to start new intellectual projects, learn new skills, or connect with others through conversations, writing, or other forms of communication.
The Gemini New Moon invites you to embrace change and enjoy the moment. It encourages a light-hearted approach to what might otherwise be serious life challenges. It also invites you to explore different aspects of your life with a sense of wonder and flexibility, making it easier to adapt to changes without feeling overwhelmed.
Spiritually, the Gemini New Moon supports you in exploring various perspectives and broadening your understanding of the world. It’s an excellent time for journaling, brainstorming, or any activity that allows you to sort through your thoughts and feelings. The energy of this moon helps in manifesting ideas into reality, making it ideal for setting intentions – especially intentions related to communication, technology, social connections, learning and teaching and intellectual pursuits in general.
Overall, a New Moon in Gemini is about opening your mind, being curious, and allowing yourself to be adaptable in how you perceive and interact with the world around you. It’s a time to let go of rigid views and embrace the joy of learning and connecting in a lot of different and enriching ways.
Time to embrace change, let go of old thinking that doesn’t serve you anymore and set intentions around your voice and your words.
Mercury in Gemini
As I figure out what kind of manifestation magic I want to do during a new moon, I like to look at what the ruler of that zodiac sign is doing as well. The planet Mercury rules the sign of Gemini and it also happens to be in the sign of Gemini at the time of the new moon. This makes it a good new moon for intentions around writing, speaking and any form of information exchange. Mercury’s presence here sharpens your thinking and quickens your ability to absorb and process information, making it easier to articulate your thoughts and ideas.
In ancient astrology, Mercury is regarded as the messenger of the gods, playing a crucial role in communication, not just among humans but between different realms. During a Gemini New Moon, where Mercury’s influence is particularly strong, this aspect becomes even more potent.
This phase is ideal for setting intentions that involve deepening your connection with the spiritual world and enhancing your communicative abilities in these realms.
Mercury’s association with divination and spiritual communication suggests that this moon is particularly favorable for practices that require you to interpret signs, symbols, or messages from the spiritual or ethereal realms. Whether it’s tarot reading, automatic writing, or using runes, the Gemini New Moon strengthens your ability to open channels of communication with the unseen.
This period is also excellent for reaching out to ancestors or loved ones who have passed on. Mercury can help facilitate these connections, making it easier to receive guidance from the spirits of the people you love.
This is also a prime time for channeling, where you might find yourself more receptive to receiving intuitive hits or psychic insights. The flow of information can feel more natural and come with greater clarity, helping you to make sense of messages that might otherwise be cryptic or challenging to decipher.
Setting intentions to develop or refine your skills in these areas can be particularly effective under a Gemini New Moon. Consider dedicating some time to practice these forms of communication in your art journal. This blog post can help you with that.
Jupiter in Gemini
Jupiter is also in Gemini at the time of the new moon.
This expands all this Gemini energy even further by adding a layer of optimism and a desire for expansion. Jupiter is known as the planet of growth and abundance, and in Gemini, it increases your thirst for knowledge and your interest in connecting with others. Jupiter also brings a sense of boundless possibility.
Think good times, happy parties and conversations that open your mind.
Venus and the New Moon
During the New Moon in Gemini, its close connection with Venus emphasizes the importance of relationships and the value we place on things and people. Venus influences our interactions, making them more enjoyable and beneficial.
Take note of who you’re talking to and what you’re talking about in the days leading up to the new moon and in the days afterward. The relationship the moon is having with Venus is great for deepening connections with others. You might find discussions particularly meaningful, possibly changing your views or influencing important decisions.
Also, the presence of five planets in Gemini, all positively interacting with Pluto, adds a twist. Pluto brings transformation, indicating that insights gained from others during this time could lead to significant personal growth.
This moon is ideal for networking, participating in community events, or deepening conversations with loved ones.
The rich and potentially transformative exchanges can help you see things in a new light, inspire creative solutions, or motivate changes that resonate more deeply with your true goals.
Your Superconscious Mind and the Gemini New Moon
The Gemini new moon provides a perfect opportunity to engage with your superconscious mind.
Let me explain what I mean by your superconscious mind.
Your conscious mind is that thinking, rationalizing part of you. It is logical and houses your will power and your short-term memories.
Your subconscious mind, on the other hand, can hold massive amounts of information and manages so many of your bodily functions. It controls your breathing, heart rate, digestion, body temperature and all the functions of the billions of cells that make up your body. It also takes in a lot more sensory information from your environment than you are conscious of. It stores all that information plus it stores all the information you have ever taken in including everything you pick up from the collective unconscious. It is also a bridge to Universal consciousness so it can connect to Source energy and/or receive information and energy from anyone or anything in existence. If your conscious mind were a school library, your subconscious mind would be a library the size of the galaxy.
Your subconscious mind is so powerful but it is not easily accessible. It’s the part of you that remains hidden. It holds all your secrets but you cannot communicate with it the same way you can with your conscious logical mind. You have to learn how to listen to it and how to talk to it.
Even more powerful than your subconscious mind is your superconscious mind. Your superconscious mind is the field of unlimited intelligence we all have access to. It is above and beyond the subconscious and conscious mind.
It is connected to everything and everyone.
Imagine you are swimming in a lake. The beach and the water up to your shoulders would be your conscious mind. Diving deeper into the water and seeing the creatures living in the water would be like connecting with your subconscious mind but all the water in the entire lake and all the creatures that live in it including all the people at the beach and the life force animating everyone and everything around you including the sky, the sun and the air you breathe would be the superconscious mind. It is a part of you, the lake and everyone and everything so your conscious mind and your subconscious mind can obviously communicate with it and receive insight and healing from it. The Superconscious mind is just another word for the Divine Intelligence that created everything. Because it created everything, it obviously has the power to change or fix what it created.
All this amplified Gemini energy makes it an ideal time to connect with this higher level of consciousness.
Connecting with your superconscious mind can lead to clearer insights, inspired ideas, and deeper understanding.
Working with your superconscious mind during the Gemini new moon can be especially powerful for manifesting. Since the superconscious is linked to all of creation, it can help you identify and release past blockages—those hidden factors that keep you stuck. By focusing your intentions during this new moon, you can ask for guidance on how to move forward, invite solutions that align with your highest good, and stimulate changes that may have seemed out of reach before.
How To Work with Your Superconscious Mind to Manifest
One of the best ways to work with your superconscious mind to manifest the changes you want to see in your life is to do what we do when we work with the MAP Method and that is to give your superconscious mind specific tasks to do.
When you give tasks to your superconscious mind to enhance your manifestation magic, think of it as programming a highly skilled assistant who’s dedicated to making your goals a reality. This process involves being very clear and specific about what you want to achieve. You start by setting a clear intention, like outlining a goal you’re passionate about achieving. This could be anything from improving your health, improving your business, or enhancing relationships.
Next, you break down this goal into actionable tasks for your superconscious mind. For example, if your goal is to sell a book, you might instruct your superconscious to help clear any subconscious blocks that might hinder your success, like fear of failure or doubts about your worthiness.
Then, you direct it to actively seek out and engage with potential opportunities that align with your goal. This could involve attracting the right contacts, creating circumstances that lead to productive outcomes, or inspiring ideas that propel you forward.
Additionally, it’s important to ask your superconscious to maintain your motivation and optimism, keeping you aligned with your goal through positive energy and encouragement. This helps in overcoming any setbacks or challenges that might arise.
Conclude your instruction with gratitude and affirmation, acknowledging the support of your superconscious and affirming your belief in the success of your endeavor. This not only reinforces your intentions but also strengthens your mental and emotional alignment with your goal.
This method taps into a deeper level of consciousness that operates beyond our daily, conscious thinking, engaging a powerful force that can mobilize unseen resources and insights for achieving your objectives.
It’s a proactive way to engage with your deeper self, ensuring that all parts of your being are aligned and working towards the same purpose.
Examples To Get You Started
Here are some examples of giving tasks to your superconscious mind to help you manifest your new moon intentions.
- “Help me communicate my new moon intentions clearly and effectively to the universe.”
- “Tap into the airy essence of Gemini to open new pathways for my intentions.”
- “Help me smoothly navigate the changes my intentions will bring into my life.”
- “Harmonize my inner dialogue to reflect the positivity and creativity needed to manifest my goals.”
- “Guide my thoughts to flow with the clarity and speed of Mercury, enabling swift and favorable outcomes.”
- “Weave the power of the perfect crystal into my aura to stabilize my energies while keeping my thoughts flexible and open.”
- “Imprint the symbolism of the butterfly into my subconscious mind to transform my life and believe in endless possibilities.”
- “Channel the energy of the winds to sweep away obstacles and clear the path forward.”
- “Ask the air elementals to carry my intentions across all realms.”
- “Empower me to connect the dots faster, seeing opportunities where others see challenges.”
- “Infuse the power of mint into my energy system to refresh my focus and renew my commitment to my goals every day.”
- “Invoke the twin spirits of Gemini to mirror the success I visualize in my mind into the physical realm.”
- “Create a protective shield around my conversations with spirit to guard against misinterpretations or interference.”
Your superconscious mind is a truly magical force to partner with.

The Moon This Week
If you want to work with the moon to manifest, do your emotional work or deepen your creativity, here’s a summary of the moon’s energy from Monday – Sunday with daily prompts you can explore in your art journal.
Monday
Today the balsamic moon is in the sign of Taurus. It is also having a tense relationship with Pluto.
The moon is the queen of the night. She wants to illuminate the darkness, bring about change, be a mirror to reflect us back to ourselves and awaken our receptive and intuitive powers. She represents your body and emotions and reminds you that life is an ever-changing cycle of birth, death, transformation and rebirth. She wants to bring you nurturing and adaptability.
Pluto wants to illuminate what is hidden in your subconscious realm to help you transform. It can bring endings, new beginnings, deep spiritual growth and rebirth. With Pluto’s energy influencing us, its helpful to face your shadows and your inner darkness – and hopefully you can do that with the nurturing compassion of the moon.
In this tense kind of relationship the moon and Pluto are having today, challenging emotions can surface. It can stir up difficult circumstances to process or unresolved issues or memories that still need to be tended to. It’s like facing dark truths that ultimately set you free.
Personally, I see this as an opportunity to address those exiled parts within our psyche. The ones we’ve hidden away because of shame, fear or the worry that we won’t be loved or accepted. Those inner parts of ourselves get activated in this kind of moon energy and yes, it can cause challenges in your life and relationships but its hard to tend to those deeply hidden inner parts without them being activated so there is a blessing to this kind of tense moon energy – especially when we art journal with the moon. The moon being in a tense relationship with Pluto supports your emotional and spiritual growth by giving you the opportunity to meet the emotional or spiritual needs of our hidden inner parts – such as your wounded inner child parts, past life memories or generational trauma your body is still carrying.
Here are a few questions to help you be curious and see which of your inner parts could use some love and care today:
What am I feeling right now that doesn’t seem connected to my current situation?
This question helps identify emotions or reactions that may be disproportionate to the present moment but could be linked to past experiences or inherited emotional patterns.
When do I feel most triggered or uncomfortable, and what does this remind me of?
This question aims to trace current triggers back to your roots, which may be deeply embedded in childhood experiences or ancestral memories.
Are there specific fears or anxieties that I’ve carried for as long as I can remember, and what might they be connected to?
By pinpointing long-standing fears, you can begin to explore whether they originate from your own past experiences, are inherited from family patterns, or even stem from past lives.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents an inner child part or an ancestral part or a past life part that could use some tending loving care today.
Tuesday
Today the balsamic moon is in the sign of Taurus. It is also having a happy relationship with Saturn and an intense relationship with Uranus.
The moon in the sign of Taurus brings grounding and comfort. Taurus is ruled by the planet Venus, so the moon is drawing down a little of that planet’s magic as well.
Taurus, an earth sign, is known for its connection to the physical senses, stability, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the natural world. The emotional and spiritual properties of the moon in Taurus are all about nurturing a sense of peace, security, and well-being in our inner lives. It encourages us to find harmony in simplicity, urging us to connect with the earth and the rhythm of nature as sources of healing and rejuvenation.
For highly sensitive people who carry creative dreams, the Taurus moon offers a reminder to slow down, allowing you to breathe more deeply and connect with the steady beat of your own heart. The moon in Taurus supports you by grounding your dreams in reality, encouraging patience and persistence. The energy of Taurus reminds you that great creations take time to manifest and that the journey is as important as the destination.
High sensitivity often comes with its own set of challenges, such as feeling overwhelmed by the world’s noise or battling self-doubt. The moon in Taurus helps to steady these fluctuations, offering a solid foundation from which to approach your creative work. It’s an invitation to indulge in self-care, to nurture your body and spirit, and to seek out environments that replenish your energy so that you can return to work on your creative dreams feeling refreshed, inspired and positive.
While the moon is in the sign of Taurus, you might find it especially beneficial to connect with nature, perhaps by spending time preparing seeds for the garden you plan to plant later in spring, walking in your favorite forest, or simply sitting outside and letting the earth’s energy soothe your spirit. Engaging in creative activities that involve the hands, like sculpting, gardening, or cooking, can also be a way to harmonize with the Taurus moon’s energy. These activities not only ground you but also help manifest your creative dreams into tangible forms, step by patient step.
In essence, the moon’s passage through Taurus is a gentle reminder that true strength lies in steadiness and that nurturing your inner world is as crucial as pursuing your dreams and goals. It’s a good time to embrace the slow and steady path, to trust in the process, and to remember that your sensitivity is a gift that enriches your creative dreams, offering depth and insight that are truly unique.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents what grounding energy looks or feels like.
Wednesday
Today the balsamic moon moves into the sign of Gemini. It is also having a happy relationship with Pluto and Neptune and an intense relationship with Mercury and Jupiter.
In ancient astrology, the moon in Gemini carries a connection to Mercury, the fleet-footed messenger of the gods. Mercury has the unique ability to move between the worlds – from the realms of the divine to the earth and even to the underworld. This makes him a bridge, a communicator between gods and humans, as well as between the living and the spirits of the departed. When the moon, symbolizing our emotions and intuition, is in Gemini, it illuminates this Mercurial theme of communication and connection across realms.
Emotionally, the moon in Gemini stirs a heightened desire to communicate, not just with the living but also with the unseen – our spirit allies and ancestors. Spiritually, this can be a good time to act as your own messenger, seeking guidance from those who have gone before you or spiritual entities that guide you. The energy allows messages to flow more easily, for intuition to be sharper, and for you to be more attuned to signs or symbols that the universe might offer.
To harness this energy in your art journal, consider creating a dedicated space or page for dialogue with the unseen. Start by setting an intention to connect with a specific ancestor or spirit ally. Use imagery that reminds you of them or symbols associated with Mercury. Write down questions you’d like answers to or simply allow your hand to move freely, channeling any messages that might come through. Let your art journal act as the sacred space where you and your spirit allies can meet, communicate, and exchange wisdom. Remember, this is a personal journey, and whatever emerges on the page is meant for you. Let the moon in Gemini inspire you to bridge the worlds and deepen your connection to your spirit allies and the energies that are here wanting to lovingly support you and your creative dreams.
In your art journal, draw, paint or create a collage that represents communicating with your spirit allies or ancestors.

Friday
The new moon moves into the sign of Cancer. It is also having a happy relationship with Mars and a tense relationship with Neptune.
The Moon in Cancer is a nurturing time that aligns well with the concept of the inner mother. The inner mother is an archetype representing the nurturing, caring qualities within you, often mirroring the care you wish you had received when you were younger. Cancer, a sign deeply connected with emotions, home, and maternal energy in astrology, provides the ideal backdrop for connecting with and cultivating your own inner mother.
For highly sensitive people, especially those who have experienced trauma or emotional neglect, engaging with the inner mother can be incredibly healing. When you’ve grown up in environments where emotional support and nurturing were lacking, visualizing and interacting with your inner mother, can begin to provide you with the compassion, understanding, and unconditional support you missed.
This practice involves imagining what an ideal motherly figure would look and feel like—one who offers love, encouragement, and protection. On days when the Moon is in Cancer, it supports this kind of deep emotional and nurturing work, making it easier to access and strengthen these qualities within yourself. This process not only helps heal old wounds but also empowers you to respond to your current emotional needs with greater kindness and care, effectively re-parenting your inner child to foster healing and emotional resilience.
In your art journal, draw, collage or paint an image that represents your inner mother.
Saturday
The new moon is in the sign of Cancer. It is also having a happy relationship with Saturn.
When the moon is in a happy relationship with the planet Saturn like it is today, it creates harmony between your emotions and your sense of discipline, responsibility, and maturity. I like to think of it as developing emotional maturity.
Saturn is often associated with the archetype of the Crone. The Crone represents wisdom, maturity, understanding, and the kind of insight that only comes with experience and age. This archetype embodies the idea of having lived through many challenges and having learned hard lessons, which imparts a deeper understanding of the world and a thoughtful approach to life’s difficulties.
When the Moon, which governs your emotional inner world, interacts positively with Saturn, it suggests an ability to manage your emotions with wisdom and patience. This encourages you to take a measured and mature approach to your feelings, allowing you to respond to emotional situations with a blend of sensitivity and sensibility. It helps in stabilizing emotions that might otherwise feel overwhelming or chaotic.
The influence of Saturn brings a level of discipline that can help you regulate your emotional responses. It teaches you the importance of setting boundaries, not only with others but within yourself, to prevent depletion or overwhelm. The moon and Saturn can help you feel more capable of handling your responsibilities without becoming emotionally drained.
Overall, when the moon is having a happy relationship with Saturn, it offers a period of emotional steadiness where the wisdom of the Crone can help you to foster resilience and maturity in handling your emotional needs and interactions.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents setting healthy emotional boundaries.
Sunday
The waxing crescent moon moves into the sign of Leo. It is also having a happy relationship with the planets Uranus and Neptune and Jupiter, an opposing relationship with Pluto and a tense relationship with Mars.
Emerging from the darkness of the new moon, the waxing crescent moon symbolizes the first visible evidence of your intentions and desires beginning to take form. It’s a time of promise and potential that whispers of growth and possibilities yet to unfold.
This phase of the moon is about taking the seeds you planted during the new moon—those quiet intentions set in sacred space—and tenderly helping them into the light. It’s a reminder that even your biggest, wildest, grandest dreams start small, and that every first step must be taken in faith because you can’t yet see exactly where you are going or where your creative dreams will lead you.
The waxing crescent moon is a good time to revisit the intentions you set during the new moon. Ask yourself: What steps can I take, however small, to bring my dreams closer to reality? This moon phase encourages you to take action, even if it’s just a small gesture or a subtle shift in your daily routine, to affirm your commitment to your creative dreams.
This is also a time to nurture your inner light, to be kind to yourself as you navigate the vulnerabilities that naturally come with having a creative dream and try your best to move towards it. It’s not an easy thing to do and there are bound to be challenges along the way. The waxing crescent moon’s energy encourages you to move forward with gentleness and determination.
It’s a time to weave your creative dreams into the fabric of your daily life. In your art journal, under the waxing crescent moon, you might create a visual reminder of your new moon intentions or explore through drawing, painting, or writing, the steps you feel called to take next.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that revisits your new moon intentions.
Have fun with your art journal and the moon this week.
