Art Journal with the Moon: Themes and Prompts for May 5-11, 2025
In this post, I share a summary of the moon for the week of May 5-11, 2025 as it moves through the zodiac and interacts with the planets. I also talk about the way the moon and stars are helping us this week to change and grow to fit the new beginnings that want to happen in our lives.
Working with the Waxing Moon in Your Art Journal
This week, the moon is still building in energy as we move towards the full moon in Scorpio which, in the mountain time zone, will happen on Monday, May 12.
I’ll share more on next week’s blog about the full moon in Scorpio and how to work with it in your art journal. This week. I want us to harness this growing moon energy and really spend a moment in gratitude for the way the moon and stars have been helping us heal, grow and welcome new energy into our lives and relationships.
The Energy That Kicks Off the Week
The week begins with a beautiful opening and a feeling of clarity, momentum, and hopeful expansion that gently nudges you forward because on Monday, May 5, Mercury in Aries has a happy relationship with Jupiter in Gemini, and the moon joins in too and amplifies it all. This creates a warm, forward-moving energy that helps carry your dreams just a little farther, a little faster, and with more confidence than before.
There’s a tone of optimism and alignment and a sense that things are clicking into place, or at the very least, that you can make decisions, move forward, and trust that the details will come together as you go.
When Mercury and Jupiter are in this kind of happy relationship, they support communication, travel, planning, learning, and agreements of all kinds. This is an excellent day to sign contracts, map out schedules, book something meaningful, or take a leap of faith especially if it’s something that helps you grow or move closer to the life you’re dreaming of. If you’ve been feeling unsure or stuck, this is the kind of energy that says: Go. You’re ready.
The moon’s supportive presence adds emotional assurance, helping you feel motivated, encouraged, and inwardly aligned with the choices you’re making. It’s like receiving an internal and external green light all at once which is rare. The internal and the external don’t always line up.
You may notice synchronicities, a sense of right place/right time, or a sudden spark of clarity that helps you commit to a decision with more ease.
Personally, I think this energy is part of a bigger story we’ve been feeling build for weeks. There’s all this powerful new beginning in Aries, where Neptune just arrived, Venus is currently moving through, and Saturn will soon follow.
This part of the zodiac is lit up and full of potential and it indicates an area of your life that is changing and experiencing new beginnings.
Aries brings birth, boldness, and the kind of courageous spark needed to begin again but not as you were.
Instead, as who you’re becoming. Aries invites you to reclaim independence and self-leadership.
The Mercury–Jupiter energy is giving your ideas and plans wings. It helps you think big without losing sight of the small details, and to trust that the adventure you’re reaching toward is worthy of your time, effort, and belief. If there’s something you’ve been hesitating to start – a program, a plan, a project, a trip – this is a great week to say yes, take the first step, or stretch a little farther toward your dream.
The moon on Monday is saying, what if you really can do this?
Welcoming a New Story in Your Life
There continues to be a lot of change in the air and it’s deep, soul-level, life-altering kind of change and we’re all experiencing it in different areas of our lives. You might not be able to see all of it yet, but you’re likely feeling it in your body or your heart or the way your life is subtly (or not-so-subtly) starting to shift.
With some of the slowest-moving planets in our sky moving into new signs, these changes don’t just bring new energy from the planet; they mark whole new eras in our lives as a collective and in your own personal life depending where they affect you according to your birth chart.
Think of it like this: something new is trying to be born in your life. A new theme, a new story, a new rhythm.
But, as my astrology mentor and teacher Kelly Surtees reminded me, in order to welcome in the new and receive what’s coming, something inside you has to stretch. And, as she pointed out, that’s where Venus comes in lately.
Venus, when she interacts with Neptune or Pluto, is working closely with these outer planet shifts, helping you change from the inside out so that the new things trying to enter your life have a place to land.
She’s helping you evolve emotionally, spiritually, even physically, to meet the future version of yourself.
Because Venus is currently in Aries, the healing and growth she’s stirring up is all about reclaiming independence, honoring your autonomy, and stepping more fully into self-trust. She’s not here for people-pleasing. She’s here to help you listen to you – your desires, your wisdom, your joy, your creativity. And because she’s making powerful connections with Pluto, this is not surface-level. This is reclamation work. It’s about pulling your power back from wherever it got scattered or taking it back from whoever you mistakenly gave it to and reminding yourself that you are allowed to want more from your art, your relationships, your work, your life.
I’ve been watching this play out so differently in the people around me. For a friend of mine, the newness and growth is helping her heal a deep pattern in her love life. She’s bravely releasing protective patterns that made her think she had to earn love by shrinking or sacrificing and learning how to allow real, true love in.
For a client, Venus has been walking her into a beautiful, unexpected deepening of her spiritual life and I’m watching her build a deeper relationship with her angels and her own intuitive gifts in a way that feels ancient and brand new at the same time.
How Venus is Showing Up in My Personal Life and Astrology
Venus is having a happy relationship with Pluto on Tuesday, May 6th and for me, the newness and the healing and stretching and growing is happening in my career. Pluto is stationing retrograde so close to my Midheaven and every time Venus is having a relationship with Pluto like she is on Tuesday, she’s adding sweetness to this energy. The moon, unfortunately, isn’t drawing down this energy for us because she’s not really having a relationship with Pluto or Venus on that day but I still think it’s important astrological energy to mention and consider this week.
For me, as I mentioned, this is happening near my MC. The MC is the most visible point in my chart or anyone’s chart for that matter. It is the part of your birth chart that governs your career, your calling, and how you’re meant to contribute to the world. And this moment with Venus and Pluto arrives right as I prepare to send my very first book off to print which is a book I have written and drawn by hand, and dreamed about creating since I was a little girl. A book that honors the moon and the magic of being a highly sensitive, creative and intuitive person.
But Pluto is so much deeper than just career so the newness I’m experiencing in my life isn’t just about my career. It’s about breaking ancestral patterns.
The women in my lineage were from strict French Catholic families. They were obedient, silenced and were punished if they ever tried to veer away from how they were supposed to be. They were not allowed to speak their truth or express their creativity or their emotions or be fully themselves. They were expected to survive, not thrive. And, as I birth this book into the world, a very witchy and artsy book, I carry them with me. I carry their fear, their longing and their unspoken dreams.
And now, with Pluto stationing on my MC, I can feel it: this is a moment of reclaiming. A moment of saying, I am allowed to be seen. I am allowed to write, to draw, to teach, to publish, to earn a living from the gifts that come through me (even the mystical and intuitive ones) not because I have proven myself worthy, but because I am alive. Because the dreams my ancestors couldn’t live are now mine to fulfill not out of obligation but as celebration.
Inflammation as Inner Resistance Showing Up in the Body
If you follow me and receive my emails, you’ve read about the pain and inflammation I’m experiencing in my right leg as I make these positive changes in my life and career. Pluto is a planet that exposes, purges, and empowers through death and rebirth.
Because Pluto is there near my MC right now, I’m not just publishing a book. I’m breaking the silence held by generations of women before me who could not write, could not dream, could not even claim space to think about what they wanted. Pluto conjunct my MC says: now is the time to burn down the old definitions of what it means to be visible, spiritual, creative, and in service to the world. And I’m doing that in a public, visible, and long-lasting way because I keep sharing the journey with you all.
Pluto doesn’t give a surface-level transformation. It works through pressure, intensity, and hidden truth, especially those buried in the psyche and in the body. The pain in my right leg and the inflammation are not coincidence and the fact my ancestors keep talking to me and keep revealing to me the secrets they took with them and how those secrets were carried down to me, all makes sense now as I study my astrology. I am healing by listening to their secrets and that is such a Pluto and Venus thing to do – healing the female lineage by revealing the secrets they carried because of how they were dominated and oppressed and learning to reclaim that power through art and the moon. How astrologically perfect is that? And also, how sweet and wonderful is it that together we are rewriting these stories?
To me, the right side of the body often relates to action and how I move forward in the world. It’s as if my body has held onto the suppressed actions of my female lineage and held onto all the steps they couldn’t take, all the dreams they couldn’t walk toward and now that I’m taking those steps and the stuck energy is being forced to release.
This is the emotional and spiritual undercurrent of the moon and stars this week. It’s not just about moon phases or planets moving. It’s about healing the places within you that thought you had to hide or work harder or be someone else in order to have what your soul longs for. It’s about allowing yourself to have what your soul longs for.
Honor who you’re becoming as you say a big, fat happy YES! to the next version of your life.
Mercury Moves into Taurus
As all this expansive, life-changing energy moves through us this week, there’s also a gentle, grounding shift in the background that I want to highlight which is Mercury moving into Taurus. Taurus is a sign ruled by Venus. When Mercury is in Aries, thoughts come fast and ideas burst forward like sparks but Mercury now steps into the slow, steady, sensual earth of Taurus.
This is a big shift in tone, especially for those of us who are sensitive, artistic, intuitive, or living with anxious nervous systems that sometimes get overstimulated by too much fire or air energy.
When Mercury moves into Taurus, every time the moon forms a relationship with Mercury this month like it is on Saturday, it’s going to draw down Taurus energy which is so much more settling, steadying, and embodied than what we’ve been used to. Mercury in Taurus invites the mind to move slowly and with care. It helps your thoughts find roots. It encourages clarity not through speed, but through patience and grounded presence. And that’s something many of us, and especially highly sensitive people, need more of.
If you’re someone who has a lot of air energy in your chart like I do, or if you’re someone who tends to live in your head, this shift can feel like a welcome exhale. Taurus doesn’t rush. Taurus thinks with the body and through the senses. It’s ruled by Venus, after all, so there’s beauty and pleasure in the way this Mercury thinks. It likes soft fabrics, warm food, soothing music, and comforting rituals.
It wants the mind to feel safe.
For anyone doing healing work, recovering from trauma, or simply trying to find their center again after a big period of change (like so many of us are), Mercury in Taurus helps bring the thoughts down into the body, where they can soften and integrate. It supports inner regulation, deeper focus, and decisions made from a calm, grounded place rather than a reactive one.
And for us makers, artists, and creative entrepreneurs, Mercury in Taurus is deeply supportive here too. It encourages thoughtful creation, strategic planning, and the kind of creative work that builds slowly but lasts. It’s the energy of crafting something with your hands, shaping it lovingly over time, and trusting the process. This is not the energy of rushing to get content out or scrambling to meet a deadline. This is the energy of putting care and intention into what you’re building and of knowing that beauty, quality, and devotion are strategy.
So let this shift in Mercury support you.
Let it help you slow down enough to feel what you’re thinking. Let it help you choose only the most nourishing thoughts to bring with you into this next chapter of your life. Let it remind you that your body is a wise and essential part of your creative process and that when your nervous system is supported, your magic flows more freely.
Let This Energy Guide Your Business
If everything I shared in this week’s moon update is resonating with you and if you’re feeling the call to step into a new chapter, to reclaim your creative gifts, to move forward with your dreams but in a way that’s deeply healing and aligned with your nervous system and soul, I want to invite you into something special I’ve created.
On Monday, I’m opening the doors to a new 14 day Activation called “Grow Your Business with the Moon (and Your Art Journal)” and it’s only $14 CAD!
There’s so much magic in this 14-Day Activation and it’s rooted in the very themes we’ve been exploring together this week: stepping into new beginnings, softening resistance, listening to your inner wisdom, and building a life and business that reflect who you really are.
I created this activation for people like me who are sensitive, creative souls who feel called to do meaningful work in the world but have inner resistance that makes them feel blocked or gets in the way of success.
If you want to grow your business in a way that feels magical, intuitive, and aligned with nature, this is for you.
Each morning, I’ll guide you on how to work with the moon in your art journal.
Each night, I’ll share a gentle MAP recording to help you move through the fear, resistance, or self-doubt that might be getting in the way.
Plus, everyday, you’ll have access to me on Zoom at 10:00 – 11:00 am MT. If you’re able to join me, you can ask questions, get guidance or just enjoy the energy of working in our journals together. If you can’t join me live, send in your question and I’ll do my best to answer it then watch the recordings. I’m there every morning for 14 days to help you lovingly bust through resistance and take the next steps your spirit wants to take to grow your business.
We’re obviously not just planning or strategizing in this activation but I bring some of that with me too. We’re also practicing art magic and we’re tending to the emotional and spiritual roots of what’s holding you back so you can feel clear, confident, and ready to share your work with the world.
And the best part? The art magic is just 20 minutes a day. Because I know you’re already holding a lot, and I believe that small, sacred pockets of time, when used with intention, can lead to the most powerful shifts.
We’re beginning on the new moon in Gemini on May 26, which is such a perfect time to commit to your next chapter. I’ll be there with you every step of the way, guiding you gently, helping you tune into your spirit, your art, your business and the moon that’s holding you through it all.
So if you’re ready to take everything the cosmos is offering right now and use it to build something beautiful, meaningful, and aligned, I hope you’ll join me. Let’s grow your business together with the moon, with your magic, and with deep love for who you’re becoming.

Monday
The week kicks off with the moon drawing down to us some beautiful energy from Mercury and Jupiter on Monday. This is a longer description today because I want to help those who really want to harness this magic so bear with me.
This is a wave of supportive energy that helps you move forward with more clarity and confidence. It’s reflecting a happy relationship between Mercury in Aries and Jupiter in Gemini, which brings a sense of momentum, clear thinking, and hopeful expansion. It feels like something is clicking into place or at least like you can trust yourself enough to take the next step. If you’ve been waiting for a sign or feeling unsure, this moon is offering you an internal AND external green light. The emotional part of you feels more settled and aligned with your goals, and your mind feels ready to move forward.
This is a great day to start something that matters to you, especially if it’s something that will help you grow, stretch, or get closer to the life and business you’ve been dreaming of. You don’t have to have all the answers. This energy is about trusting your ideas enough to take action on them. You might even feel a rush of synchronicity or a spark of clarity that helps you finally say YES to something you’ve been circling around.
This happy relationship Mercury is having with Jupiter is also a planetary relationship that ancient astrologers considered to be particularly fortunate. On “The Astrology Podcast,” astrologer Austin Coppock pointed out that this configuration was traditionally seen as a good time to ask for what you want because you’re more likely to hear a yes. That really struck me. It feels so aligned with the way the moon is speaking to us today.
The emotional and mental energy is working together here. You might notice your mind feels clearer, your goals feel more reachable, and your spirit feels gently nudged forward. It’s like the moon and stars are reminding you that you’re allowed to want what you want. You don’t have to overthink it or justify it. Just ask. If there’s been something you’ve been circling around or too hesitant to commit to, this is a great day to take the first step or speak your intention aloud, especially in your art journal.
This isn’t about proving yourself or pushing forward in a harsh way. It’s about letting yourself open to the possibility that you are supported and that the universe is conspiring with you. What if today, the Divine said yes? What if Spirit was listening and ready to respond with warmth and generosity? What would you ask for?
In your art journal, imagine the Divine as a loving force sitting with you at your table. Imagine it wants to grant your deepest wish today. What would you ask for if you knew the answer would be YES?
Use that question as your prompt today: If I knew the forces of Love would say YES to anything I asked for, what would I ask for?
Draw, paint, or collage an image that helps you explore that desire. Let your page be a love letter to the Divine and to your own longing. Use imagery, words, symbols, or colors that help you feel the power of asking and the grace of being received.
The act of asking the Divine for support is one of the oldest and most natural things human beings have done across time and cultures. There’s actually a word for it which is supplication. It means to humbly and sincerely ask for something, especially from a deity, spirit, or divine presence. Supplication shows up everywhere in ancient traditions and different cultures. In ancient astrology and in many spiritual lineages, people didn’t just believe in divine forces, they interacted with them (as do I). They prayed, poured libations, made offerings, sang songs, painted symbols, and spoke aloud their hopes. They asked. And often, they asked with reverence, vulnerability, and trust.
Asking the Divine in your art journal can be a modern form of supplication. It is an act of sacred communication between you and the unseen forces of Love, wisdom, and support that are always around you. You don’t need a temple or a priestess to do this. You need your willingness to be honest and your desire to open your heart and ask.
On a day when Mercury and Jupiter are in a happy relationship, like today, it’s a powerful moment to make that request. Mercury is the messenger because it rules communication, learning, language, travel, commerce, and the mind. Jupiter is the bringer of blessings because it governs growth, faith, abundance, and the wisdom of the big picture. Together, they are like a sacred envoy that can carry your wishes farther and help bring them into form.
As an entrepreneur, this is a beautiful day to ask Mercury and Jupiter for support with anything related to:
– Clear communication in your writing, teaching, or speaking
– Understanding your next steps or articulating your vision
– Being seen and heard by the right people
– Finding helpful collaborators, clients, or mentors
– Figuring out what you need to learn next to grow
– Expanding your reach
– Receiving more abundance with grace and ease
– Staying grounded in your purpose while allowing your business to grow
To do this in your art journal, you might begin by creating a formal written or visual request. You can start your page with something like:
Dear Mercury and Jupiter, I come to you with reverence and trust. I ask for your support with…
Then write, draw, paint, or collage what you’re asking for. Let your page become a sacred space where your request is witnessed.
To follow it up, create a creative offering on the next page. This is where you give something back. You’re not doing it because you have to, but because you want to complete the energetic exchange. You could offer a drawing, a poem, a symbol, a sigil, a painted pattern, or even a simple message of thanks. Make it beautiful. Make it meaningful. Let it be an expression of your sincerity and gratitude. This isn’t transactional, it’s relational. It’s a way of saying, “I believe I’m not alone, and I honor this connection.”
This kind of practice helps you ground your desires in sacred space. It helps you remember that your dreams matter, your voice matters, and you are allowed to ask for help even from the moon and stars.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents what you are asking the Divine to help you with today.
Tuesday
On Tuesday, the moon is in the sign of Virgo which is where the south node is as well.
When the moon is in the sign of Virgo and it’s sitting right beside the South Node, it brings an invitation to let go of old patterns that have kept you small, stuck, or too focused on trying to do things the “right” way.
The South Node is a place of release. It’s where you’ve been, not where you’re going. It holds both gifts and habits from the past and sometimes from earlier in this life, sometimes from ancestral or past life experiences. When the moon, which reflects your emotions, memories, and needs, joins the South Node in Virgo, you might feel pulled to perfect things, overthink, or carry a sense of pressure to get it all just right. That’s old energy surfacing. You don’t have to keep carrying it.
This moon is asking you to notice where you’ve been trying too hard to control your world in order to feel safe, especially in your business or creative work. It’s okay to rest. It’s okay to not do things the way you were taught you had to. You might feel a little tender or unsure today, but it’s a beautiful time to pause, soften, and notice where you’ve outgrown old ways of working, thinking, or caring for yourself.
If you’re wondering what the moon in Virgo next to the South Node might look like in your every day life, it can look like an anxious drive to fix everything, to get it right, to do more, or to organize your world so tightly that nothing can go wrong. It can show up in your business as obsessing over your to-do list, constantly tweaking your website, your posts, your offerings and never feeling like it’s good enough to share or promote. It might feel like over-preparing, over-perfecting, or staying stuck in the planning phase and never feeling quite ready to move forward.
In your art, it can look like freezing up at the blank page, afraid that what you make won’t turn out right, or comparing your work to others and feeling like you fall short. You might start to feel like your creativity is something you have to prove instead of something you get to enjoy. Spiritually, this energy can feel like trying to earn your worth or work for your healing instead of letting yourself receive grace and support.
In your relationships, Virgo South Node energy might have you scanning for what’s wrong and trying to figure out where you or someone else could be doing better. It comes from a good place, but it can leave you feeling like love and safety are only available when everything is tidy, predictable, and handled. That pressure can create emotional tightness, like you’re bracing for something to go wrong unless you stay in control.
On a deeper level, it’s often rooted in early experiences where being careful, good, or helpful kept you emotionally safe. But you don’t need to carry that responsibility anymore. With the North Node in Pisces, it means your soul is moving toward something softer, freer, and more trusting something that allows space for imperfection and flow.
In your art journal, ask yourself:
Where in my life or business do I feel like I have to hold it all together or earn love, success, or safety by doing everything right?
Let the answer come from your body, not just your mind. Then gently create an image or page that represents what it would feel like to let go just a little. Maybe that’s a loosened grip, an open palm, a wildflower instead of a blueprint. Give yourself permission to soften into the unknown. That’s where new magic finds you.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents letting go of the idea that you have to do everything right.
Wednesday
On Wednesday, the moon in Virgo is having a tense relationship with Jupiter in Gemini.
This can feel like a tension inside you between wanting things to be neat, clear, and organized and feeling pulled toward expansion, curiosity, and trying everything at once. It’s like your heart is asking for clarity and simplicity while your mind is spinning with ideas, dreams, and possibilities. This can feel overstimulating or overwhelming, especially if you’re highly sensitive or tend to put pressure on yourself to get things right.
You might notice yourself craving a clear plan but not knowing where to start because there are too many moving parts. Or maybe you’re judging yourself for not being more focused or for wanting to go in multiple directions at once. Virgo wants to refine, edit, and make things better. Jupiter in Gemini just wants to explore, learn, and say yes to it all. Together, they can stir up feelings of tension around productivity, growth, and how you should be moving forward.
Spiritually, this can bring up deep patterns around needing to “earn” your success by being responsible and practical, even when your soul is asking for more freedom and joy. This square is a reminder that you don’t have to do things the perfect way to be worthy of growing or receiving. You’re allowed to move forward with curiosity even if you don’t have all the answers yet. You’re allowed to be a little messy and still make progress.
And for the highly sensitive entrepreneurs like me:
This can stir up a lot of internal movement. You might feel more mentally active or even overstimulated, as if your nervous system is buzzing with all the things you could be doing, saying, launching, sharing, or learning. It’s a deeply thoughtful energy, but it can also be restless.
Because Mercury also rules commerce and business, this moment may amplify your desire to organize your offerings, refine your message, clarify your brand, or finally put something out into the world but at the same time, you may doubt yourself or get caught in overthinking. Virgo wants things to be precise and valuable. Gemini wants things to be shared, experimented with, and talked about. When the moon and Jupiter are each activating these signs, you might feel torn between perfecting something in private and shouting it from the rooftops before it’s ready.
It’s a good day to consider how your thoughts and words are either supporting or sabotaging your growth. It’s a great time to look at how your inner dialogue shapes your outer actions.
Are you talking yourself out of opportunities?
Are you holding back because something isn’t “perfect” yet?
Or are you rushing forward without giving yourself time to emotionally ground?
In business, Mercury’s rulership here reminds you that communication is the bridge between you and the people you’re meant to serve but for that bridge to work, you need both sides: the thoughtful care of Virgo and the expressive freedom of Gemini.
In your art journal, you might ask yourself:
What stories am I telling myself about being seen and heard in my business?
Where am I letting perfectionism or overthinking hold me back?
And where can I give myself more permission to share with ease and joy even when it’s not perfect?
Let your art hold the tension between these energies and give your nervous system a place to rest as you sort through what’s ready to be expressed and what simply needs more time to mature.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents the stories you are telling yourself about being seen and heard in your business or in your relationships.
Thursday
On Thursday, the moon is in Libra and facing opposite Venus and Neptune in Aries.
This is like your emotional world (the moon) is standing across from your dreams (Neptune) and desires (Venus), asking important questions.
The moon in Libra craves peace, harmony, and connection with others and it wants things to feel fair and beautiful and balanced. But Venus and Neptune in Aries are stirring up a very different kind of energy. Aries is bold and self-focused. It says, “This is what I want. This is what I feel called to do. This is the dream I’m chasing, even if no one understands it yet. This is what is what I most long for in relationship, even if no one can meet me there yet.”
This creates a tension that can feel like being pulled in two directions. You might feel torn between keeping the peace in your relationships and boldly following your own inner fire. You might feel the desire to express something creatively or spiritually meaningful, but also feel unsure if it will disrupt the balance you’ve carefully built in your life or business. Venus opposing the moon can bring up struggles between emotional needs in relationships, while Neptune adds a foggy, mystical energy making it hard to know what’s real or what’s just wishful thinking. Is this thing I long for even possible? Am I wanting too much?
But there’s also a gift here. Libra and Aries are both cardinal signs which means they want to initiate and begin. One initiates through connection (Libra), the other through individuality (Aries). When they relate with each other like this through the moon and Venus and Neptune are there too, it’s a chance to find sacred balance between who you are becoming and how you’re relating to the world around you. It’s a chance to explore how your dreams (Neptune), your values or what you long for (Venus), and your emotional needs (the moon) can all find a place at the table.
In your art journal today, you might draw a bridge between two pages. On one side, explore what your soul is craving to create, express, or pursue even if it feels a little selfish or scary. On the other side, explore what part of you wants things to stay peaceful or pleasing to others.
What would it feel like to build a bridge between these parts?
What would it feel like to trust that you can pursue your bold dreams and remain rooted in relationships that truly support the real you?
Maybe your art today can show you how.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents what you long to experience, do or achieve and the relationships that support you experiencing, having or achieving what you long for.
Friday
On Friday, the gibbous moon is in Libra and is having a happy relationship with Jupiter in Gemini.
This feels like happy, expansive energy that helps you open your heart and your mind at the same time.
Libra wants connection, beauty, and emotional harmony, and Jupiter in Gemini brings curiosity, inspiration, and big-picture thinking.
Together, they create a sense of ease and flow, especially in conversations, creative collaborations, and anything that helps you share your voice or ideas. There’s this feeling of possibilities opening. It’s kind of like a window letting in fresh air and you might notice it in the way people respond to you, the clarity you feel in your mind, or even the joy you find in creating or learning something new.
This energy supports growth that comes from being both thoughtful and heart-centered. You might find yourself reflecting on how you relate to others, how you express yourself, or how you’re growing into someone who can speak their truth with grace.
Emotionally, this can be a time where you feel a little more hopeful or confident, especially if you’ve been doubting yourself or struggling to figure out the “right” way forward in your business or relationships.
Imagine this happy energy is like a gift from the heavens and a moment of alignment where things don’t have to be forced, just received and followed with trust.
In your art journal today, you might want to work with the theme of “Opening.”
What feels like it’s beginning to open in your life? Is it your voice? A new relationship? A creative idea or a vision for your business?
Try drawing or painting a door or a window and fill it with symbols, words, or colors that reflect what you feel ready to welcome in.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents what you are ready to welcome into your life or heart now.
Saturday
On Saturday, the gibbous moon in Scorpio is opposing Mercury who just moved into Taurus.
This can stir up some tension between your deeper emotional world and your desire for practical, grounded thinking.
The moon in Scorpio wants to go deep. It’s emotional, intuitive, intense, and it craves honesty and transformation. Mercury in Taurus, on the other hand, likes calm, steady thoughts and clear, simple communication. So today, you might feel a little tug-of-war between wanting to stay grounded and logical and needing to feel something all the way through to the core of your being. You might notice this in the way you process emotions or how you respond to people or maybe part of you wants to keep things stable and smooth, while another part wants to dig deep and express something that feels raw and real.
Either way, this is an invitation to bring your truth to the surface gently. You don’t have to push it out, but you also don’t want to ignore it. There might be something important you need to say or something you need to understand that lives beneath the surface. Scorpio helps you access the parts of you that are often hidden, and Mercury in Taurus helps you give those parts a voice in a grounded, steady way.
For highly sensitive entrepreneurs, this can show up as discomfort around expressing your needs or being vulnerable in your business. You may want to share something meaningful with your audience or take a new step in your business, but feel afraid of being misunderstood or of things getting too messy or emotional. This transit reminds you: you don’t have to choose between depth and steadiness. You can have both. You can speak your truth in a way that feels safe and aligned.
Scorpio energy brings up the feelings that live underneath the surface, sometimes so quietly you don’t even realize they’re there until something stirs them. Mercury in Taurus wants to speak clearly and calmly, but it doesn’t always know how to make space for those deeper, more vulnerable feelings. That can create some tension, especially if you’re someone who grew up in environments where your emotions weren’t always welcomed or understood.
Today, with the moon and your art journal, I invite you to think about who your most vulnerable inner parts feel safe sharing their tender feelings with. We all have younger parts of ourselves inside us. We all have parts that carry memories, fears, hopes, and longings from earlier in our lives.
These parts often show up when you’re trying to grow your business or be more visible. You might feel afraid to post something online or worried about how someone will react to an offer you’re sharing. Often, it’s not the adult part of you who’s scared. Usually, it’s a much younger part of you who once learned that it wasn’t safe to be seen, express emotions, or ask for what they needed.
The moon in Scorpio asks you to turn toward these parts with love and honesty. Mercury in Taurus invites you to listen with care and offer a steady, grounded presence. So when you sit down with this prompt in your art journal, you’re not just reflecting, you’re creating a safe place inside yourself. You’re saying to those tender parts,
“It’s okay. I’m listening now. I want to know who feels safe to you. I want to know how I can make it feel safer to speak your truth.”
You don’t need to rush or fix anything. Just be with what comes. Maybe you’ll draw someone from your past who felt like a safe place, or maybe you’ll create a new image or symbol for the kind of support you wish you had then or wish you had now.
This kind of gentle inner listening is where so much of the emotional healing happens. You’re practicing giving your inner world the safety and kindness it might not have received before and that’s a kind of magic that truly transforms not just your business, but your whole relationship with yourself.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents your youngest, most vulnerable inner parts feeling safe enough to share their scary, overwhelming or tender feelings with you.
Sunday
On Sunday, the gibbous moon in Scorpio is in an opposing relationship with Mars.
Scorpio, is ruled by Mars and Mars is currently in Leo. That means there’s a lot of emotional energy bubbling under the surface right now, especially since we’re nearing the full moon.
Scorpio doesn’t like to show its hand too early. It wants depth, truth, and protection. But Mars in Leo is fiery, expressive, and eager to move forward boldly. These two energies don’t always get along. You might feel like something inside you is ready to burst open or come to light, especially as we move closer to the full moon tomorrow. It’s like something you’ve been quietly working through or feeling deeply is now pushing to be seen, spoken, or acted on.
This can bring up big emotions around being seen, taking action, or asserting yourself. You might notice tension between your inner world and the outer image you feel pressure to uphold. Maybe part of you wants to pull inward and protect your energy, while another part of you feels like you should be shining, promoting, or pushing forward in your business. That tension is real and it’s not wrong. It’s just information. It’s your soul asking for a more honest and balanced way of showing up in the world, especially one that honors both your passion and your need for emotional safety.
In your art journal today, explore this question:
What part of me feels the need to hide, and what part of me wants to shine?
Let both these parts of you have space on the page. You don’t have to resolve the tension. Just acknowledging that both parts exist is powerful.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents the part of you that feels the need to hide and the part of you that wants to shine.
