Resolving Inner Conflict with Mercury and Mars: Astrology for Highly Sensitive Entrepreneurs for August 11-17, 2025
In this post, I share a summary of the moon for the week of August 11-17, 2025 as it moves through the zodiac and interacts with the planets. I also talk about astrology for highly sensitive entrepreneurs and how to work with the energy of Mercury and Mars to resolve inner conflict.
Venus and Jupiter Astrology for Highly Sensitive Entrepreneurs
Before I get into describing the Mars and Mercury energy we’re navigating this week and how to work with it to resolve inner conflict, I want to talk about how the week kicks off.
Monday, August 11th, the moon is still carrying the glow and power of the full moon, so your emotions and vision are likely strong and clear. You might be feeling more connected to your “why” and more ready to show up with that clarity. The sun is in Leo, so there’s a boost of courage, charisma, and creativity in the air. It’s a great time to be seen, share your message, and let your personality shine in your work.
Mercury, the planet tied to communication and decision-making is no longer retrograde, which can help you feel like the fog is lifting but it’ll take a few days for it to actually start moving at it’s regular pace. If you’ve been feeling confused or mentally stuck or unsure about something in your business, Mercury moving forward can bring a sense of clarity and momentum. You may feel more able to express what you’ve been feeling, or make a decision you’ve been sitting with.
Also, there’s a beautiful alignment between Venus and Jupiter, which are the two most supportive and generous planets. When they meet up like this, it creates a window of beauty, blessings, and possibility.
This is one of the most beautiful, lush, and supportive energies to work with. Two of the most benefic planets, Venus, who brings harmony, sweetness, and connection, and Jupiter, who brings growth, generosity, and abundance, are joining forces in one of the most emotionally nourishing and intuitive signs of the zodiac. And they’re doing this in the Cancer part of your chart.
This is a moment of emotional expansion. A moment to feel deeply held. A moment where your sense of enoughness might finally settle into your nervous system in a real, felt way. Venus and Jupiter in Cancer together say: “You are worthy of a life and business that feels safe, beautiful, and emotionally aligned. Let yourself receive that.”
Cancer is a sign that wants to protect, tend, and cherish. Venus here wants you to enjoy being nourished. Jupiter here wants you to grow through care, not pressure. And together, they might be whispering: “You don’t have to suffer to succeed. There is a path that feels softer, more attuned and gentle but still prosperous and abundant.”
Look at where Cancer lands in your chart to see the areas of your life where this blessing is showing up in different areas of your life.
Wherever this is happening in your chart, I hope you can take a moment around August 11 to really savor the sweetness that’s available and don’t worry about it just being on that day. Venus and Jupiter are co-present in the sign of Cancer until the 26th so this is energy you can rest into not rush into.
With Uranus having happy relationships with Saturn and Neptune, there’s also long-term energy supporting steady progress and deep purpose. Think of it like the ground beneath your feet becoming more stable as you move forward.
So, on Monday, August 11, ask yourself:
What am I ready to put into the world with love and confidence?
What am I ready to commit to with more heart?
And how can I let this day mark a turning point in what I do and in how I show up for my goals and dreams?
Let this be a day where you take a meaningful step. One that your future self will look back on and say, “That was the day I decided to believe in myself and things really started to move forward for me.”
Even if you don’t fully see the momentum you’re building because the moon is also void of course that day, know that it can build and expand in the dark or in the background and reveal the growth to you later.
Resolving Inner Conflict with Mercury and Mars
Now let’s talk about Mercury and Mars this week and how they can help you resolve inner conflict.
If you’ve ever felt torn between two voices in your head where one is eager to get started and one is worried you’re not ready yet or if you’ve ever felt like you’re ready to move forward in your business but something inside keeps blocking you, you know how exhausting it can be to have both your accelerator and your brake pressed at the same time.
For those of us who carry the imprints of childhood trauma or emotional neglect, these moments of inner push and pull aren’t just frustrating; they can feel deeply personal, tied to old patterns of trying to keep ourselves safe.
This week, Mercury and Mars are moving together in a way that stretches across several days. There are many ways you can work with this energy but today I want to talk about using it to help you blend clear thinking with bold action because it’s beautiful energy to help you resolve inner conflict.
Inner Conflict As a Highly Sensitive Entrepreneur with a History of Trauma or Emotional Neglect
When I talk about resolving inner conflict, I’m not talking about magically making every part of you agree or never feeling doubt again. I’m talking about what happens inside when you’ve got two or more parts of you pulling in different directions. Like when you have one part that’s excited about your vision and wants to take a leap but you also have another inner part that’s pumping the brakes because it’s worried you’ll get hurt.
Being an entrepreneur tends to pull up inner conflict because growing your business means taking risks, being seen, and claiming your worth, and those things can feel unsafe to the parts of you that remember what it was like not to be protected or supported.
When this inner conflict is active, it can look like overthinking every decision, starting and stopping projects before they have a chance to grow, pushing hard for a while then burning out, or turning down opportunities that could help you move forward because something just “doesn’t feel right” even if you can’t put your finger on why. As I mentioned, it’s that feeling of having one foot on the gas and one foot on the brake at the same time, burning energy without actually moving forward.
For healers, leaders, and creators, this can be especially challenging because your work is so personal. You’re not selling something detached from who you are. You’re offering your magic, your ideas, your art and your heart. That makes the stakes feel higher. It also means your nervous system, which is the instrument you use to create, hold space, and lead, needs to be steady and aligned. When inner conflict is running the show, it can quietly drain your confidence, cloud your decision-making, and make it harder to share your gifts. But when you start resolving those inner conflicts, you shift from battling yourself to leading yourself and that’s when your business, and you, really start to grow.
Mercury and Mars in a Happy Relationship
Mercury and Mars are interacting with each other in happy ways this week. Their energies are getting along really well and supporting each other.
This week, Mercury (the planet of your thoughts, communication, and decisions) and Mars (the planet of action, courage, and motivation) are in that kind of easy, cooperative connection. Think of it like your mind and your body being on the same page where your ideas are flowing and you also have the energy and confidence to do something about them.
It’s like a friend saying, “Hey, you’ve got this. Let’s go make it happen.” You might notice it’s easier to speak up about what you want, make decisions you’ve been putting off, or finally take action on something that’s been sitting on your to-do list.
You can also think of this energy like your inner voice and your inner fire are finally having a good conversation and it’s one where they’re actually listening to each other. Mercury brings clarity, curiosity, and the ability to put thoughts into words. Mars brings courage, movement, and that push to get up and do something about what you’ve been thinking. When they’re working together like this, you’re not stuck in endless overthinking, and you’re not rushing ahead without considering what matters most to you.
For those of us who are highly sensitive and carry a history of childhood trauma or emotional neglect, this harmony between thought and action can feel rare.
Sometimes our minds and our bodies don’t trust each other or our thoughts can feel clouded by self-doubt or our impulses can be hijacked by old fears. This week, the relationship Mercury and Mars are having with each other is offering us a softer, more supportive bridge between those two parts. It’s like your mind says, “Here’s what I want,” and your body replies, “Okay, I’ll help you do that and I won’t push you faster than you can go.”
It’s an invitation to practice aligning your truth with your actions. Give yourself space to name what you really want, even if it feels tender or risky, and then take one small step that says, I’m moving toward this. Even if the path ahead isn’t fully clear, the energy right now supports trusting your instincts, following the nudges, and letting action itself bring more clarity.
Choosing Your Next Step
Sometimes in business, we circle around a decision for so long that it starts to feel heavier than it really is. We tell ourselves we’re “waiting for the right time,” but often what we’re really doing is waiting to feel perfectly certain and that moment rarely comes.
This week’s Mercury and Mars energy is a reminder that clarity doesn’t always arrive before we act. Sometimes it’s the act of deciding and taking a step that makes everything click into place. If there’s something you’ve been putting off, this is your chance to choose, even if it’s just choosing your next step, not the whole path ahead.
There might also be a project you’ve been circling like a hawk as if you’re watching it, thinking about it, maybe even sketching it out in your mind but you haven’t actually landed on what you want to do about it yet. That’s where this energy can help. It’s like the universe is giving you a little nudge: stop circling, start building.
You don’t have to have it all figured out before you begin. Just start somewhere. Send the email. Buy the supplies. Set up the folder. Light a candle and declare to yourself, “I’m in.” Once you’ve decided and you’re in motion, the next steps often reveal themselves.
And if there’s a conversation you’ve been avoiding, and especially the kind where your throat gets tight just thinking about it, this is also probably a good week to lean in with courage and kindness. It doesn’t have to be a big confrontation; it could simply be speaking your truth more directly than you have before. The gift of Mercury and Mars walking together is that your words can carry both clarity and strength without tipping into harshness. When your mind and your actions are in alignment, the path forward doesn’t feel like pushing a boulder uphill. It feels like opening a door and walking through.
When Mercury and Mars travel together like this, it’s more than just a good week for ticking things off your to-do list. It’s a chance to repattern how you move through the world as a highly sensitive entrepreneur. For many of us, our thoughts and actions haven’t always been friends. Childhood trauma or emotional neglect can leave us second-guessing ourselves, stalling, or acting before we’re ready just to keep others happy.
This week’s energy helps us heal that gap. It’s like the universe giving us a moment where clarity and courage can actually hold hands. Use it to practice making decisions from your own center, to take actions that feel true in your body, and to notice how much lighter business feels when you’re no longer arguing with yourself on the inside. This isn’t just about momentum. It’s about learning to trust that when your mind and actions work together, your business can grow in ways that feel safe, sustainable, and deeply aligned.

Monday
The week kicks off with the moon void of course on Monday.
Monday’s astrology has a curious mix of stillness and movement. The moon is void of course all day, which means she’s not speaking to any other planets before she changes signs. When the moon is void, her light isn’t reflecting anything new back to us. It’s like she’s resting in the in-between, neither fully here nor there. This can feel like low tide in your emotional body or business energy. It is the perfect space to let things settle, breathe, and integrate what’s already in motion.
At the same time, Mercury is stationing direct in Leo, and Venus is in a close relationship with Jupiter in Cancer. These are two beautifully supportive alignments. Mercury stationing direct is like a fog lifting in your mind. What’s been unclear, tangled, or delayed in communication, planning, or decision-making can start to straighten out. Venus meeting Jupiter in Cancer adds warmth, generosity, and a sense of emotional safety. It’s an expansive energy that invites nurturing connections, beauty, and pleasure into your work. Even with the moon’s quiet, these planetary movements bring a soft green light for building relationships, tending your vision, and receiving emotional nourishment.
In your art journal, honor the moon’s pause while still welcoming the gifts of Mercury and Venus-Jupiter. You might create a page that holds space for both rest and possibility.
Ask yourself:
What truths are becoming clearer as Mercury moves forward?
What emotional nourishment or support is Venus and Jupiter offering me now?
Where can I allow softness and generosity to flow into my business?
Let your page be a place to receive before you act, a reminder that some of the most powerful growth happens in the quiet.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents the growth that is happening in the quiet of your life.
Tuesday
On Tuesday, the moon moves into Aries and the energy shifts from the quiet, in-between feeling of Monday’s void moon into something more active, direct, and forward-moving.
Aries moons tend to bring a spark. They wake us up, stir our courage, and remind us that sometimes the next step is to simply begin. But this isn’t a purely impulsive Aries moon. It’s sitting right next to Saturn and Neptune, which changes its tone in a powerful way.
Saturn in Aries brings discipline, maturity, and a sense of responsibility to the table, while Neptune invites us into the dream realm and the bigger vision, the spiritual truth, and the deeper “why” behind our actions.
Together, they can feel like being called to take real, tangible steps toward something that matters deeply to you, but to do it in a way that aligns with your values and long-term vision. The moon’s happy relationships with the planet Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius add creative breakthroughs and transformation to the mix. This is energy that supports innovative ideas, liberating yourself from old constraints, and moving in a direction that feels more authentic and alive.
In your art journal, you might explore the balance between your dream and the discipline it needs to grow. Let the Aries spark show up, maybe as bold color or strong lines and then layer in the grounding presence of Saturn and the soft, misty inspiration of Neptune.
Ask yourself: What brave step am I ready to take this week?
What long-term vision is calling to me right now?
What old habits, patterns, or structures am I ready to shift into something more liberating?
This is a day to marry your passion with your purpose and to be both the dreamer and the builder of your business and your life.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage that represents a brave step you’re ready to take next.
Wednesday
On Wednesday, the disseminating moon in Aries is lighting up our desire to share, teach, and put something out into the world but because it’s in a tense square with Jupiter and Venus in Cancer, there’s a push-pull between your urge to act boldly and your need to stay connected to what feels safe, nurturing, and emotionally aligned.
Venus in Cancer speaks of deep emotional bonds, the desire for comfort, and the value we place on belonging and Jupiter there expands those themes but it wants more love, more connection, more of what feels like “home.” The Aries moon, on the other hand, can feel impatient with too much tending or waiting because it likes movement now.
This tension can feel like a crossroads in your business or creative work: part of you wants to leap ahead, launch the thing, make the bold ask; another part wants to wrap yourself in a blanket of certainty before you take the risk. Neither side is wrong. In fact, this square can be a gift because it challenges you to integrate courage with care, so your next step is not only brave but also deeply rooted in what truly matters to you. It’s about making sure your actions don’t just push forward for the sake of momentum but are infused with the love, meaning, and emotional truth that will sustain you in the long run.
In your art journal, you might explore this balance between boldness and belonging.
Ask yourself: Where am I being called to be braver?
Where might I be holding back because I want to feel more secure first?
How can I take a step forward that feels both daring and deeply supported?
By leaning into this conversation between Aries and Cancer, you can craft an approach in your business or your life that doesn’t abandon your heart in the name of progress.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents moving towards your goals while emotional taking care of yourself at the same time.
Thursday
On Thursday, the disseminating moon moves into the sign of Taurus.
The moon in the sign of Taurus brings grounding and comfort. Taurus is ruled by the planet Venus, so the moon is drawing down a little of that planet’s magic as well.
Taurus, an earth sign, is known for its connection to the physical senses, stability, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the natural world. The emotional and spiritual properties of the moon in Taurus are all about nurturing a sense of peace, security, and well-being in our inner lives. It encourages us to find harmony in simplicity, urging us to connect with the earth and the rhythm of nature as sources of healing and rejuvenation.
For highly sensitive people who carry creative dreams, the Taurus moon offers a reminder to slow down, allowing you to breathe more deeply and connect with the steady beat of your own heart. The moon in Taurus supports you by grounding your dreams in reality, encouraging patience and persistence. The energy of Taurus reminds you that great creations take time to manifest and that the journey is as important as the destination.
High sensitivity often comes with its own set of challenges, such as feeling overwhelmed by the world’s noise or battling self-doubt. The moon in Taurus helps to steady these fluctuations, offering a solid foundation from which to approach your creative work. It’s an invitation to indulge in self-care, to nurture your body and spirit, and to seek out environments that replenish your energy so that you can return to work on your creative dreams feeling refreshed, inspired and positive.
While the moon is in the sign of Taurus, you might find it especially beneficial to connect with nature, perhaps by spending time preparing seeds for the garden you plan to plant later in spring, walking in your favorite forest, or simply sitting outside and letting the earth’s energy soothe your spirit. Engaging in creative activities that involve the hands, like sculpting, gardening, or cooking, can also be a way to harmonize with the Taurus moon’s energy. These activities not only ground you but also help manifest your creative dreams into tangible forms, step by patient step.
In essence, the moon’s passage through Taurus is a gentle reminder that true strength lies in steadiness and that nurturing your inner world is as crucial as pursuing your dreams and goals. It’s a good time to embrace the slow and steady path, to trust in the process, and to remember that your sensitivity is a gift that enriches your creative dreams, offering depth and insight that are truly unique.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that celebrates your love of nature.
Friday
On Friday, the moon is in the last quarter phase.
This phase is when the moon is once again half in light and half in shadow.
To me, this symbolizes choices and decisions. Take time to consider the choices you make in your everyday life and how they impact you, your goals and your community.
It also symbolizes seeing both sides of a story so finding ways to put yourself in the shoes of someone you disagree with at this time can help you gain wisdom or a perspective you had not considered before.
It also a time to celebrate how far you’ve come, how much you do and how much you’ve grown.
Take a moment to consider how much you’ve learned since the new moon.
What have you learned about relationships in the last few weeks?
What have you learned about yourself in the last few weeks?
What have you learned about reaching your goal since the new moon?
Where have you grown the most in the last few weeks?
The last quarter moon is also viewed as a time of introspection and surrender. As the moonlight diminishes, we too are invited to draw inwards and assess our inner landscapes. It’s a period of letting go, symbolizing the release of old beliefs, habits, or emotional baggage that no longer serve us.
Emotionally, this phase is about acceptance and forgiveness. We are encouraged to make peace with our past, cultivate forgiveness towards ourselves and others, and create space for new possibilities and growth.
To enhance your experience of the last quarter moon, consider these questions:
What lessons have I learned in this past moon cycle?
What am I ready to let go of?
How have I grown and changed over this moon cycle?
Who or what do I need to forgive to move forward?
What seeds of intention do I want to plant for the next cycle?
The last quarter moon invites you to pause, look inward, and clear away what no longer serves you. As you align with this lunar rhythm, you nurture your ability to adapt, release, and prepare yourself for new beginnings.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents what you need to let go of before you consider what seeds of intention you want to plant during the next cycle.
Saturday
On Saturday, the moon moves into the sign of Gemini.
When the moon is in Gemini, it takes on the lively and curious energy of this air sign. Gemini is known for its adaptability, quick thinking, and communication skills. The moon, representing our emotions and inner world, takes on these qualities, encouraging flexibility and openness to change.
The air element in Gemini brings a transformative energy that can usher in periods of change and growth in your life. Air represents movement, intellect, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. When the moon is in Gemini, it calls you to be more flexible in your approach to life, helping you navigate changes and transformations with ease.
This energy can encourage you to explore different perspectives and to remain open-minded, especially during times of inner transformation or when your external world is in flux. It invites you to navigate transitions with grace by embracing new ideas, adapting your plans as needed, and being willing to go with the flow.
When the moon, which is closely tied to your emotions and intuition, journeys through Gemini, it creates a rich and dynamic interplay between your heart and mind. The moon’s emotional intuitiveness aligns with Gemini’s intellectual curiosity, resulting in energy that stimulates both your feelings and thoughts.
While the moon is in Gemini, you might feel more curious and open than usual, leading you toward exploration, learning, and the quest for new ideas or concepts. Communication, especially around emotions, becomes an important theme as the Gemini Moon encourages open dialogue, sharing of ideas, and meaningful conversation. Gemini moon days are also characterized by a noticeable versatility and adaptability in dealing with emotions. You are nudged to see various perspectives, to better understand your feelings and those of others.
Also, the Gemini Moon encourages exploration of your inner duality, much like the twins that symbolize Gemini. This exploration allows you to become more comfortable with the many faces and dimensions of your inner self, helping you understand that your complexity is part of your unique beauty. Yes, you have many more sides to you than you realize.
Because Gemini’s influence can sometimes result in a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions, journaling can be a powerful tool during this time, helping provide clarity and understanding.
In your art journal, consider reflecting on questions like:
How can I better communicate my feelings to others?
How am I embracing the duality within myself?
In what ways can I adapt to the emotional changes I’m experiencing?
And how can I use my thoughts to support my emotional well-being?
In your art journal, paint, draw or collage an image that represents how you want to use the magic of air and movement in your life or your business.
Sunday
On Sunday, the last quarter moon is in the sign of Gemini.
The last quarter moon in Gemini invites reflection, release, and mental clarity. In ancient astrology, the last quarter moon marks a moment of tension between the sun and moon. Its a turning point where we see what’s working, what isn’t, and what needs to shift before the next new cycle begins. With the moon in Gemini, this review process is especially mental and conversational with ideas, words, and stories including the ones you tell yourself and the ones you share with others.
This phase can bring an inner restlessness, as if your mind wants to jump ahead to the next thing, but the last quarter moon is asking you to pause, look back, and make decisions from wisdom, not impulse. The gift here is perspective. You’ve gathered information since the new moon, tried things, tested ideas. Now Gemini’s airy, curious energy helps you sift through it all, identify what’s still aligned with your vision, and let go of what’s no longer serving your growth whether that’s an outdated belief, a marketing approach that doesn’t resonate, or a story you’ve been carrying about what’s possible for you.
In your art journal, this is a beautiful day to explore the thoughts and narratives shaping your business and creative work. You could play with words, snippets of text, or even handwriting layered into your page.
Ask yourself: What story about myself or my work am I ready to release?
What truth am I ready to speak, even if it’s just to myself?
How can I simplify my thinking so I’m more focused on what truly matters?
Let the process be like opening a window in a stuffy room where you’re clearing space so fresh air (and fresh inspiration) can come in.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents what you are ready to speak, even if it’s just to myself.
