Art Journal with the Moon: Themes and Prompts for May 26-June 1, 2025

In this post, I share a summary of the moon for the week of May 26 – June 1, 2025 as it moves through the zodiac and interacts with the planets. I also talk about working with the magic of Gemini new moon in your art journal to plant seeds of intentions for a fresh start, reset or new beginning.

Working with the Gemini New Moon in Your Art Journal

This week begins with a fresh start kind of energy that feels especially supportive and full of possibility. On Monday, we have a new moon in Gemini, which is a good time to reset, clear the mental clutter, and plant seeds of intention. New moons are naturally a time for beginning again but this one feels extra special because Mercury, the planet that rules Gemini, is also in Gemini right now, which means it’s strong and well-resourced. That alone adds a clear, focused energy to your thoughts, ideas, and plans. But there’s more.

On Friday, Mercury will be cazimi the sun, which in ancient astrology was seen as a sacred moment when Mercury is cleansed and renewed in the heart of the sun. It’s a beautiful time to receive inspiration, set intentions around your voice, your ideas, your learning, and your connections. All week long, the relationships happening between planets are Mercury-centered, so there’s a strong Mercurial tone to the days ahead which means mental clarity, communication, insight, and divine messages coming through.

It’s like the universe is handing you a pen and saying, “Write your next chapter.” And with June just around the corner and it being a month that carries gentler, more supportive energy, this week offers a meaningful opportunity to begin again. Before we dig a little deeper into the meaning of the Gemini new moon, let’s just pause to acknowledge how much renewal is in the air. You don’t have to rush into it figuring it all out right now but it’s a good time to listen to what’s stirring in you.

A Gentle Reminder

This past week, I had one of those wild and wonderful moments where something I’ve dreamed about for so long finally became real. My printed guidebooks, The Creative Witch’s Monthly Guide to Growing Your Business with the Moon and Stars, arrived at my doorstep in a real box, with real pages, in my hands. I got to hold the thing I created. It felt beautiful and powerful and emotional.

A beginning.

A becoming.

A moment of truth.

And then, almost immediately, I found out about a looming postal strike. Just as I was preparing to mail the first batch of books out to people, uncertainty arrived. Will they get delivered? Are my books going to get lost in the disagreement? How am I going to navigate this? The joy of the moment bumped into the stress of real-world logistics, and suddenly, things felt complicated and unclear again. A mix of emotions started bubbling up. I felt excited, stressed, frustrated and doubtful all at the same time.

It’s funny how fast the nervous system responds to the unexpected. I could feel my mind wanting to go into old patterns, old stories: What if this is a bad sign? What if this whole thing doesn’t work? Why does something always get in the way? These thoughts used to completely derail me. They used to spiral into panic or make me feel like giving up.

But here’s the part I want to share with you and especially if you’re on your own healing path as a highly sensitive entrepreneur: I didn’t spiral this time.

I noticed the thoughts. I felt the stress. But it didn’t take me under. I didn’t crash emotionally. I didn’t get stuck in the fear. I could still feel the joy of the moment even with the uncertainty right beside it. And that’s not because I’ve somehow become less sensitive. It’s because I’ve become more resourced – emotionally, spiritually, and somatically. And that doesn’t mean emotions won’t bowl me over ever again or my mast cells won’t flare up from an overwhelming emotional experience every again but it happens far less frequently and the experience is so different now so I spend way more time in a calm and steady body.

Inner Work Matters

All the inner work I’ve done including the MAP Method sessions, the art journaling with the moon, the deep, loving attention I’ve given to my own nervous system is working. And it’s wild. It’s subtle. Sometimes I barely notice it, but it’s there. Like this quiet intelligence inside me that now knows what to do with emotional intensity. My subconscious is processing in the background. My nervous system is holding me with more steadiness. The difference is like night and day.

I still have emotional reactions, of course. I still feel things deeply. But it’s not as debilitating as often anymore. It’s not triggering my mast cells as often as it used to or as intensely as it used to. The inner storms are quieter. They move through more quickly. I can feel disappointment or grief or fear without it taking me on a rollercoaster ride. That’s new for me. And I’m deeply appreciative.

I’m still me. But my internal world has changed in ways that continue to surprise me.

I’m sharing this with you because I know how many of you are walking the same path. You’re building something from your heart, whether it’s a business, a book, an offering, or a dream. And at the same time, you’re tending to old wounds, working with a sensitive body, navigating life with a nervous system that hasn’t always felt safe.

You know what it’s like to hold both the magic and the mess.

And I just want to say: it’s okay if it’s not all smooth. It’s okay if your joy is mixed with fear. It’s okay if your dreams are unfolding slowly. That doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong. It means you’re healing. It means you’re growing capacity. It means your inner world is starting to hold you the way no one else ever did.

So as we move through this Gemini new moon and Mercury Cazimi energy which is giving us a week filled with inspiration, insight, and fresh starts, I invite you to open to the new beginnings stirring in your life. But I also invite you to honor how far you’ve come on the inside.

Sometimes the most important growth is the kind no one can see but you.

And trust me, it counts. It all counts.

Now let’s dig into the new moon and cazimi energy a little deeper now.

Mercury as Ruler of This New Moon

Gemini is ruled by Mercury, and now that Mercury has just moved into Gemini too, there’s a clear, mentally vibrant tone to this moon.

This new moon is about new information, updated perspective, and the wisdom of now that you know what you know, what will you choose?

What’s possible from here?

You might notice your reset doesn’t come through big plans or dramatic actions, but through small insights, simple conversations, or even just a shift in how you’re thinking about something. That’s the power of Gemini. It’s curious. It’s flexible. It reminds us that we don’t have to have it all figured out, we just have to stay open, stay curious, and let the questions lead the way.

As my astrology teacher Kelly Surtees explained, because Mercury is combust the sun during the new moon which means it’s still hidden in the sun’s beams, this new beginning in your life may also be happening in the background. It may not be visible yet. You might feel it more like a whisper than a shout. Something shifting inside. Something being prepared quietly in the dark that will bloom later.

Mercury and Your Imagination

During this new moon in Gemini, there’s a really lovely and supportive connection between Mercury and Neptune that adds a gentle, dreamy energy to everything. Mercury is the planet that rules our thoughts, words, and communication, and in Gemini it’s especially active. It wants to think, learn, share, and ask questions. But with Neptune involved, something softer and more intuitive comes in. It shifts the focus from facts and data to something more heartfelt and imaginative.

If you’re a highly sensitive entrepreneur, especially one who grew up in an environment where your emotional needs weren’t met or where you didn’t feel seen, this can be a beautiful window of time to pause the mental pressure and just wonder.

Instead of trying to figure things out or make everything make sense, this is a moment to feel into your dreams and desires and to let your mind wander toward what’s possible, even if it feels unrealistic or far away.

This is a moon for magical thinking.

You don’t have to know how things are going to work. You just have to let yourself imagine what it would feel like if they did. With Neptune’s energy in the mix, we’re being invited into the realm of inspiration and intuition which is the space where gut instincts matter more than strategy, and inner longings matter more than timelines. You might notice you feel more sensitive or emotional around this moon. You might feel pulled toward poetic or creative ways of expressing yourself. You might find yourself journaling, painting, doodling, or daydreaming more than planning or analyzing and those are great ways to align with this energy.

This isn’t a time to focus on logistics. It’s a time to give your mind a bit of a break, let your imagination take the lead, and trust the quiet wisdom rising from within. Let yourself wonder. Let yourself play with possibility. Let your nervous system rest while your heart dreams up a new vision. That’s the kind of intention that belongs under this new moon.

Mercury as Divine Messenger

For those of us whose work is rooted in creativity, healing, or intuitive service, Mercury isn’t just about communication. Mercury is sacred messages. Mercury is the divine messenger. The scribe. The connector. The one who brings ideas from the spiritual realms down into words, art, teachings, and offerings that can nourish others.

When Mercury is strong, like it is now in Gemini, it helps you receive those downloads more clearly. It helps you organize what you’re hearing from Spirit and share it in ways that are actually useful and meaningful. It helps you connect the dots.

It helps you tell the story that wants to be told.

So whether you’re writing, teaching, coaching, creating, recording, channeling or visioning, this Mercury energy is here to support you. It’s here to help you bring order to the inspiration that’s been floating around inside you and turn it into something real.

Take a moment under the new moon to consider which of your inspired ideas you want to make real or use this beautiful energy to communicate with spirit.

Mercury in Divine Consultation with the Sun

Then on Friday, Mercury meets the heart of the sun in what astrologers call a cazimi. This is a sacred reset for the mind and spirit. A rebirth. A moment when Mercury is purified in the fire of the sun and infused with fresh insight.

You might feel like a light is turning on inside you. Something clicks. You suddenly understand. Something that felt scattered or overwhelming might finally come into focus. It’s a clarifying moment. An inner alignment.

This is another powerful time this week for setting intentions around communication, learning, sharing your voice, making decisions, or starting fresh with a new plan or idea.

Because Mercury is in Gemini which is its home sign, this cazimi is especially powerful. The messages that come through now may be subtle, but they’re potent. You might receive intuitive insights that help you organize your thoughts or move forward with a project. You might suddenly feel ready to make a decision you’ve been circling around for weeks. You might even feel like you’re finally understanding the “why” behind something that’s been unclear.

And the best part? This is a reset that helps you communicate with more ease, more honesty, and more confidence. It’s like your inner messenger gets a direct line to the divine and comes back with something true and helpful to guide your path forward so listen to your intuition, follow your nudges and carve time out on Friday to communicate with spirit.

These two days, Monday and Friday, are like bookends of a sacred invitation. One invites you to begin again. The other brings clarity about why and how. If you listen with your heart and trust the process, something powerful can take root this week. Something beautiful and true.

And you don’t have to do it all at once. Just show up. Just journal. Just let the messages come.

Monday

The week kicks off with the new moon in Gemini on Monday.

As I mentioned above, this new moon in Gemini invites you to begin again not with a grand gesture or rigid plan, but with curiosity, intuition, and a sense of softness toward yourself. This new moon carries a beautiful mix of energies that are especially tender and meaningful for highly sensitive healers and creators because we are people with creative dreams, deep emotional worlds, and bodies that carry the weight of what we’ve been through.

Gemini energy is often fast, social, and full of movement. But when you’ve lived through trauma or emotional neglect, this kind of energy can stir up a lot in your nervous system. It can feel scattered or overwhelming. You might start questioning everything and think things like:

Am I doing enough?

Am I moving in the right direction?

Why can’t I just pick one thing?

If that’s coming up for you, know that you’re not alone. These thoughts aren’t signs that anything is wrong. They might just be echoes of old patterns that learned to survive by overthinking, overworking, and trying to stay one step ahead.

But this new moon is also beautifully supported by Mercury, who is strong and steady in the sign it rules (Gemini) and forming a gentle, dreamy connection with Neptune. This softens the edges. It gives you permission to pause the mental chatter and enter a more poetic, intuitive space. You don’t have to know all the answers right now. You just have to be willing to sit with the questions.

This moon isn’t asking you to plan your whole future. It’s inviting you to imagine what might be possible. To wonder, What if I didn’t have to rush? What if I followed the energy instead of the fear? What if my next chapter starts quietly, with a whisper, instead of a bang?

Mercury’s connection to Neptune opens the door to sacred listening. It’s a moment when divine messages can come through your dreams, your art, your body, or your journal. Not through facts or data, but through feelings, inklings, and inner knowings. This is a moon that reminds you: you are a messenger, too. You carry stories, ideas, and healing gifts that were meant to be shared but they don’t need to be shouted. They can begin gently. They can grow with care.

Because Mercury is still combust the sun and still hidden in its light, your fresh start might be happening internally. It might not look like much on the outside yet. But something is shifting in the dark. Something new is taking root in your subconscious. These are sacred beginnings, the kind that happen quietly and unfold in their own time.

So today, in your art journal, don’t force yourself to be clear or certain. Instead, let yourself dream. Let yourself feel into what you want without judgment, without needing to have it all figured out. Draw what you’re longing for. Write down a few words or phrases that feel like invitations. Let your body show you what it’s ready to begin. Let your imagination lead the way.

Set your intentions in a way that honors your softness. Ask your inner messenger what it wants to share next. This is your reset. And it’s allowed to be gentle.

In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents the seeds of intention you are planting in this new moon.

Tuesday

On Tuesday, the moon is still in her new phase today, moving through the curious and quick-moving sign of Gemini. There’s something fresh and awake in the air as if your spirit is leaning in, ears perked, listening for the next breadcrumb on your path.

The moon is drawing down energizing energy from both Venus in Aries and Mars in Leo. Venus brings warmth, desire, and the spark of something you want to connect with from the heart, while Mars adds courage, fire, and the momentum to start moving. This is a day when your emotions and instincts are being gently stirred awake not in a heavy way, but like a breeze opening a window and inviting in new ideas, new connections, and the courage to begin again with more lightness.

The idea of beginning again with more lightness may carry emotional weight, especially if you’re someone who has lived through trauma, emotional neglect, or a long stretch of struggle. Beginning again isn’t always a joyful leap forward. Sometimes it comes after disappointment, exhaustion, grief, or the slow erosion of something you hoped would work out differently. And when you’re tender or when your system is wired for caution because of what you’ve lived through, beginning again takes bravery.

But the kind of beginning the moon in Gemini offers you today isn’t the heavy, push-through kind. It’s the kind that doesn’t ask you to prove anything. It doesn’t demand a five-year plan or ask you to push past your capacity. This is beginning again not with force, but with curiosity. Not with obligation, but with openness. It’s starting again because something inside you is stirring not shouting, not rushing but just quietly stirring, saying, “What if I tried this? What if I made space for that again?”

Lightness here is not avoidance. It’s not bypassing the depth or the pain or the hard things you’ve had to survive. Lightness in this context is relief. It’s the lifting that happens when you remember you don’t have to carry every expectations or past failures into your next step. It’s the soft, magical moment when your heart dares to dream again, even after everything. That’s the courage I’m talking about. The kind that says, “Even though it didn’t work before… maybe it could this time. Maybe I’ve changed. Maybe I know more now. Maybe the energy is different.”

And Gemini moon energy, especially in the new phase and in connection with Venus and Mars like today, is full of that invitation. It’s here to remind you that you don’t have to drag the whole weight of your past into every new beginning. You can be discerning, yes. You can be wise. But you can also let something feel easy. You can let this new chapter begin without it having to redeem all the chapters that came before.

In your art journal, you might write this question across your page:

What if beginning again could feel light, and even joyful?

Let that question guide your images, colors, textures. What colors feel like permission to soften your grip? What lines feel like release? What symbols remind you of second chances that were better than the first?

Let yourself remember: you’re allowed to begin again not because you failed, but because you’ve grown.

You might feel more open than usual, or you might find that words, conversations, or creative impulses are flowing more easily. This is a wonderful time to explore what you want and not just what you think you should want, but what your spirit is whispering to you quietly, underneath the surface. If you’ve been feeling hesitant to put yourself out there, this moon is like a soft nudge forward. You’re not being asked to make a big announcement or launch a huge project. Instead, you’re being invited to follow what feels good, playful, interesting, and alive. And that might be exactly what your nervous system needs. It might just need all the things that bring you excitement without pressure.

In your art journal, create a page that helps you answer the question:

What am I curious about exploring next in my business or creative work?

Use symbols or words that feel light and energizing. Doodle ideas without needing them to be “right.” Let your colors be quick, playful, expressive. You’re not trying to get it perfect. You’re letting yourself listen, explore, and begin. Maybe today you paint your desires in soft layers, or maybe you scribble them out like a brainstorm from the heart. Either way, you’re moving energy. You’re waking up the part of you that’s ready to grow not because you have to, but because something inside you is stirring again, like spring air at your window. Let the moon show you where the breeze is blowing you next.

In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents beginning again with lightness.

Wednesday

On Wednesday, the moon slips into the tender waters of Cancer which is a sign it rules and feels at home in but almost immediately finds itself in a tense relationship with Saturn and Neptune, who are now both in Aries.

This creates a bit of a spiritual push-pull. The moon in Cancer wants to rest, nest, protect, and feel safe especially emotionally. It wants you to tend to your inner world, connect with home and nourishment, and be held in ways you maybe didn’t get to be held when you needed it most.

But Saturn and Neptune in Aries are stirring the pot. They bring this energy of pressure and uncertainty which is asking you to step up or break through something, to make real something that still feels vague or out of reach.

This tense relationship between the moon and Saturn and Neptune can feel like you’re being pulled in two directions: part of you wants to pause and take care of yourself, while another part feels like you’re falling behind or need to do more, figure things out, push through. And for those of us who carry old stories of needing to perform or produce in order to feel safe or worthy, this can feel extra hard. You might feel like you’re not doing enough, or like your dream is still foggy and you can’t quite see how it’s going to come together but also like you should already have it all figured out. That’s Saturn whispering about duty and timelines. That’s Neptune fogging up the picture just as you try to see it clearly. And the moon? She just wants you to feel held and protected as all of that swirls around.

In ancient astrology, the moon is the body and the soul. In Cancer, she reminds you to retreat inward and not to escape, but to return to what’s true. And when she has this tense kind of relationship with Saturn and Neptune like this, it’s a moment to ask:

Where do I need to trust myself more?

Where do I need to set firmer emotional boundaries, or let go of the illusion of control?

Where am I holding myself back because I’m afraid I’m not ready?

In your art journal today, create a page where you build yourself a sanctuary. Not a literal one, necessarily but a visual one. A place your heart can go when it feels tangled in too many emotions or too many expectations. Maybe you draw or collage a nest, a cave, a glowing light in the woods. Ask yourself:

What does my inner sanctuary look like?

What part of me needs it the most today?

Let that part of you speak through color and shape. Don’t try to make sense of it. Let your intuition guide your hands. Trust that you don’t have to rush clarity or force progress. Not today. Today, you’re allowed to be soft and strong at the same time.

In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents your inner sanctuary.

Thursday

On Thursday, the waxing moon is still in the sign of Cancer, and what’s special about today is that she’s not having any major relationships to the other planets. It’s just her soft, radiant, undisturbed Cancer moon energy shining gently down. This kind of day is rare and precious. It’s like the moon is whispering to you without any outside interference. No other planets pulling on her, no distractions while she’s in the zodiac sign she feels most at home in. It’s just pure, emotional, nurturing lunar magic that invites you inward.

Cancer is the sign the moon rules, so when she’s here and uninterrupted, she’s at her most tender, her most wise. She invites you to slow down and feel your feelings without needing to explain or fix them. She reminds you that your sensitivity is not a flaw, it’s a gift. And for those of us who feel things deeply, who carry old stories and wounds around being too much or not enough, this moon wraps you up and says, “You are sacred and beautiful and holy just as you are.”

This is not the day to push. It’s not the day to force clarity or create strategy. It’s a day to root. To wrap your arms around the part of you that just wants to feel safe being seen, being soft, being held. In business, we’re so often told to toughen up, push through, perform. But the moon in Cancer reminds you that your work is just as valid when it comes from your quiet, nourishing center. You don’t have to hustle to be worthy. You don’t have to rush to be aligned.

In your art journal today, create a page that feels like a warm bath or a weighted blanket. Use soft colors, round shapes, and comforting textures. Collage or paint an image that feels like home and not necessarily your physical home, but a symbol of an emotional home. Ask yourself:

What part of me needs to feel safe today in order to grow?

Let that part take the lead. Let them speak in color and image and feeling. Let the moon hold you while you hold yourself.

This is the kind of lunar magic that doesn’t show up in grand, dramatic ways. It heals gently, in quiet spaces. Let today be a sacred pause and a moment to remind yourself that tending to your inner world is a form of growth. It is part of building a business, a life, and a legacy.

In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents comfort to you.

Friday

On Friday, the waxing crescent moon moves into the bold, expressive sign of Leo and immediately finds herself in an opposing relationship with Pluto, who is sitting quietly (but powerfully of course) over in Aquarius.

This is one of those moments where the moon is asking you to hold two different truths at once: the part of you that longs to shine and take up space… and the part of you that holds back because something deep inside is still scared of what that might cost.

Leo moon energy is warm, courageous, and full of heart. It wants you to be visible. It wants you to say, “Here I am,” and let yourself be seen in your fullness, your gifts, your light and your creative power.

But Pluto doesn’t let that happen without asking for depth.

I want to take a moment to talk about Pluto and not just as the planet, but as the symbol of deep transformation, power, shadow, and soul initiation and especially how I relate Pluto to Persephone. But not the Persephone you might be used to hearing about. Not the meek maiden abducted against her will and dragged into the underworld. That version of the myth, the one where Persephone is powerless, voiceless, and passive, is the version shaped by patriarchal retellings that came long after the older, earth-based stories were told.

The Persephone I speak of, the one who lives close to my heart and work, is the Persephone described by Charlene Spretnak in her book Lost Goddesses of Early Greece. In those older, pre-Hellenic myths before they were shaped by patriarchal forces and the rise of sky gods over the earth goddesses, Persephone was not stolen. She was not a victim. She was a highly sensitive, intuitive, spiritually gifted guide who chose to descend into the underworld because she heard the call of the dead. She was a psychopomp. A soul guide. A priestess of the in-between.

This older version of the myth tells us something very important. It tells us that going into the underworld and the realm of shadow, grief, transformation, and death is not always something done to us. Sometimes, it’s a path we walk with intention, because our spirit knows it’s where we must go. Sometimes, it’s where our magic lives.

This shift in story is spiritually and socially significant, especially for those of us, like you, who carry the same kind of sensitivity and spiritual calling that Persephone did. You are the ones who hear the quiet things. Who feel what others overlook. Who are called to move toward what hurts, not away from it. You are the ones who help others find light in the dark. And this old myth reminds you: that calling is not a curse. It’s a sacred path. And it is yours to claim.

When the old myth was replaced with one of powerlessness and victimhood, it wasn’t just Persephone’s agency that was taken, it was the dignity and strength of every soul who walks that path of descent. It was the sacredness of grief, intuition, and inner knowing that was diminished. And reclaiming the older myth is an act of healing. It’s an act of remembering.

Because you are not broken for needing solitude. You are not wrong for being drawn to what others fear. You are not weak for being sensitive. You are gifted. And your depth, your capacity to hold space in the shadows, and your ability to move between worlds and between the visible and invisible makes you a healer, a guide, a creative force. Just like Persephone.

So when I say Pluto, I think of her. The one who chose to go down. The one who comes back with wisdom. The one who knows how to move between death and life. And I know many of you are doing the same in your healing, your art, your business, your life.

You’re not lost. You’re on the path your soul chose long before now. And your journey, no matter how nonlinear or slow, is sacred.

Today, Pluto says, “If you’re going to show up, let it be real. Let it be true. Let it come from the places you’ve been afraid to share.” And that’s where today’s lunar energy can feel intense, especially for those of us who weren’t always safe to be seen or celebrated when we were younger.

So the tension today isn’t here to stop you. It’s here to transform you. It’s here to show you the layers of armor that were once necessary and ask, gently:

Do you still need to carry that?

Can you shine from a place of soul now, not survival?

Can you let the light of Leo meet the shadow of Pluto and become something braver, truer, and more you?

In your art journal, ask yourself:

What am I afraid will happen if I let myself be seen?

Create a page that explores both the longing and the fear. Maybe use bright, fiery colors like gold, orange, or red to represent the Leo part of you that wants to shine, and deep, inky colors like black, dark blue, or burgundy to represent the parts that still feel hidden. Let them meet. Let the page hold both. You don’t have to force resolution because this isn’t about fixing anything. It’s about honoring the truth of your experience.

This moon is not about pushing yourself into the spotlight. It’s about exploring what visibility means to you. What being seen on your own terms might look and feel like. And slowly, tenderly, letting yourself become more visible to yourself. That’s where all magic begins.

In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents being seen and celebrated for who you are right now.

Saturday

On Saturday, the waxing crescent moon moves through the bold and expressive sign of Leo and reaches out in a happy relationship with Mercury, who’s currently in the curious and clever sign of Gemini.

This is a beautiful meeting between the heart (Leo) and the mind (Gemini), between how you feel and how you think, between what lights you up and how you express it to the world. The moon is slowly growing in light, which means the energy is gently building not in a rushed or overwhelming way, but in a steady way that invites you to step a little more into your own radiance.

This kind of moon reflects back to you a playful, creative spark that wants to move through your voice. You may feel the urge to speak something out loud, write it down, share a piece of your truth, or just let yourself think more freely than usual. It’s especially helpful if you’ve been second-guessing your ideas or feeling like you can’t quite find the words for what you want to offer. This is a lunar energy that reminds you that you don’t have to be perfect to be powerful. You just have to begin. You just have to be you.

If you’re someone who’s been carrying tender stories about being too much, or not enough, or not quite ready to be seen, this moon gently says:

What if your light isn’t too much at all?

What if your voice matters more than you realize?

It doesn’t ask you to shout. It asks you to show up in the way that feels true. To trust the thoughts and ideas that flicker through and give them a space to land.

In your art journal, create a page that helps you explore this question:

What part of me is ready to be seen or heard, even just a little more than before?

You might paint a golden spotlight or draw a tiny stage with no audience or just a space where your spirit gets to take up space. Use yellows, oranges, or whatever colors feel like fire and sunshine to you. Let your words flow freely and maybe even let them be a little wild. This is a day to speak kindly to your inner visionary and your inner child and remind them that what they imagine is worth building. This is a day to practice loving your voice.

You don’t have to shout to shine. You just have to keep showing up for the light within you. Let this moon help you do that.

In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents the part of you that is ready to be seen or heard.

Sunday

On Sunday, the waxing crescent moon is still glowing in the sign of Leo for most of the day (but she moves into the sign of Virgo later in the evening in the mountain time zone), which means the energy is encouraging you to stretch gently toward the light of your own heart. But what makes this moon extra special is the relationship it’s having with Venus, who’s in the fiery and independent sign of Aries, right next to Chiron, the wounded healer. This combination is soft but powerful. It’s about reconnecting with your desire to create, to express, to shine but doing so in a way that honors the tenderness you carry from the past.

Venus and Chiron together in Aries stir up old pain connected to self-worth and visibility especially if you learned early in life that shining your light was unsafe or unwanted. But this moon doesn’t push you to be bold before you’re ready. Instead, it gently holds a mirror up to the places in you that long to be seen, loved, and honored as is. The moon’s connection to Venus reminds you that your heart still wants to create beauty and connection even if there are parts of you that feel scared or unsure. That desire in you is real and worthy of acknowledging and honoring.

This lunar moment says: healing is not the absence of vulnerability. It’s the willingness to hold that vulnerability with love and still take small, brave steps toward the life you want. What is it you really want? Let yourself explore what’s calling you forward and what’s been holding you back and remember, both are sacred.

In your art journal, create a page that honors the part of you who is healing your relationship with being seen. You could draw a small figure in a circle of light, or paint something that symbolizes courage and your version of it. Use colors that feel both brave and gentle. You might even want to write a love letter to the version of you who’s scared to be visible, letting them know you won’t force them but you also won’t leave them behind.

Let this moon and Venus whisper this truth to you: your healing is not in the way. It is the way. And your light doesn’t have to wait for you to feel “ready.” It just needs your care, your compassion, and your willingness to try again. Let your art journal hold your courage to keep going.
