Asking Your Spirit Allies for Help with the Full Moon in Aries

In this post, I talk about the astrology for the week of October 6-12, 2025 and how it affects highly sensitive entrepreneurs. I also share an art spell for asking your spirit allies for help with the full moon in Aries.

INTRODUCTION

I want to start this week’s moon update with an update of my own so bear with me as I tell you the story of my collapsed spirit and the eclipse magic that welcomed her back to the light.

A couple weeks ago, around the fall equinox, I created and shared an art spell for Calling Lost Parts of Yourself Home. I knew it was a powerful piece of magic, but I didn’t know just how deep it would take me. I’ve been working with the eclipses activating my fourth house in my birth chart, and because the fourth house in ancient astrology rules the home and living situation, I thought it might show up in tangible ways like it did in those areas of my life in the spring. That was when Luis, my husband, and I bought our little camping trailer. It is now my home away from home. It is a place that works beautifully with my sensitivities and allows me to travel in a way that actually feels doable, safe and peaceful.

When we bought the trailer, I had this felt sense of my future. Not a vision exactly, but something more like an emotional knowing. I could feel that with this purchase something important had clicked into place. Something had been decided. It was a beautiful, grounded feeling.

Something in me felt settled, certain and solid.

DROPPING INTO GRATITUDE

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the gift of that feeling. It is a rare feeling for this witch who travels between realms, has way too much air in her birth chart and an unsteady history that left her feeling alone, uprooted and constantly as if she was walking on s shaky ground. To feel settled, certain and solid is a moment worth celebrating.

So when the eclipses started moving through my fourth house again, I thought maybe something similar would happen. But this time, instead of something external changing, it all happened inside me. The fourth house isn’t just about your physical home. It’s also the root of your chart. It represents your inner foundation, your ancestral roots, and what grew you. In a deeper spiritual sense, it’s about how safe and rooted your spirit feels inside your body. And this time, the work was about going underground into the underworld of my own story and into the place where my spirit hasn’t always felt safe or at home.

AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY

After casting the art spell for Calling Lost Parts of Yourself Home, I found myself unexpectedly pulled into a deep healing journey one night. I didn’t consume any mind altering substances or anything but it felt a little like I might as well have. I just cast a spell and the spell itself became the medicine. That night, I called my mom because the spiritual journey I was on was feeling overwhelming and I needed support. And while she listened, my guardian angel Cassandra and my spirit allies took me on a journey and my mom helped hold me while they did.

What I saw was not easy. I found myself in a dark, dead landscape. It was like a graveyard but without anything living. I saw a rotted, black tree that reminded me of the vision I had a few weeks ago where a black root represented my dissociation. That black root was a symbol of how I left my body when I was so young as a way to survive the things no child should ever have to endure. Lying on the ground beneath that tree was a white outline of a woman’s body. I knew this was a part of me. It was a part of my spirit. She looked dead. I told my mom I didn’t understand why she looked like an adult, because the trauma happened when I was small. But I also realized this part of me died many years ago and she’s been with me, frozen like that, ever since. So in a way, she did grow with me.

LOST AND CONFUSED

I didn’t know what to do in this dark space. Nothing was happening. I was just there with the outline of my spirit resting under the dead tree. But then I saw my grandmother (my mom’s mom) watching from the edges with another older woman who was leaning on her cane. Cassandra told me they couldn’t come into the space because it wasn’t theirs to enter, but they were with me. My mom later told me her grandmother used a cane, just like the woman I saw beside my grandma. So I think my grandmOTHER and great-grandmother were there on the edges of my vision holding space for what was happening.

It was so painful to be in that place. I didn’t want to be there. I cried. I didn’t know how to come back. But my mom stayed with me on the phone. She helped me tend to that dead outline of my spirit. Cassandra stepped in, holding a golden orb of light, and the dead outline version of me melted into the orb. But I was still stuck there. And I didn’t want to be.

A VISIT FROM AN ELDER

That’s when an old Indigenous woman came and sat beside me. She was the same spirit who came to me months ago on a walk by the river when I had another spontaneous healing. Back then, I had been encircled by a group of Indigenous women in spirit. They were women who had experienced the same thing I had. We had all been children when those who were supposed to care for us hurt us instead. It was healing to have her there with me, but also complicated, because the person who harmed me was also an Indigenous woman who “loved” me. And yet, here this elder was holding my hand in the middle of this dead, dark place making me feel safe and seen.

She looked me in the eyes with the deepest love and strength and said: “This place is yours. And it is mine. And it is the place of all those who carry this pain.” She explained that while it’s not a place anyone would choose to visit, it exists. And I belong to it. Not because I want to but because it’s part of me.

She said something that’s been staying with me ever since: “You cannot heal this place away. You cannot make it disappear. You have to accept that it is. You must allow it to exist.”

I think she was trying to explain to me that I can’t change the fact that this pain is part of my life. I have to grow into the kind of person who can be with it.

That is such a hard truth to accept. My stomach still tightens when I think about it. There are parts of me that do not want this to be real. That want to run, avoid, pretend, or only focus on the light. And I know many of you understand that too, this deep urge to bypass the darkness and reach only for what’s pretty, positive, or easy to digest.

STAYING PUT

But I’m learning that this is part of the path too. The spiritual path, the healing path, the path of reclaiming yourself. It’s not about wiping out the pain. It’s about becoming the version of you who can be with it. Who can witness it. Who can hold your own hand when the underworld calls and says, “You have to come down here. This is part of your story too.”

There are some parts of who we are that aren’t meant to be healed in the way we usually think of healing. They’re meant to be seen. Acknowledged. Befriended. These parts shape us. They deepen us. And the more I walk with them instead of away from them, the more whole I feel.

This is not easy work. It’s tender and messy and it takes time. But it’s also sacred. And I share this with you not to offer answers, but to simply say: if you’ve been walking through your own dark inner landscapes lately, you’re not alone. There are spirits and ancestors and allies holding your hand too. And even when it feels like you’re stuck in the place you most want to escape from, it’s okay. You can learn how to be the kind of person who can be with that too.

THE FULL MOON IN ARIES

I think that’s what this full moon in Aries is illuminating for us as well.

We often talk about Aries energy as impulsive, fiery, bold and yes, sometimes even aggressive. It’s the sign of beginnings, of first steps, of daring to move. But I also think that when Aries grows through experience and learns how to carry its fire with care, it becomes the Leader.

And not just any kind of leader. It becomes real leadership. The kind that knows how to stand tall in the face of hard truths and doesn’t turn away from the pain or the weight of responsibility. The kind of leadership that knows bravery isn’t always loud. Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is be willing to stay present when everything in you wants to flee.

As we were moving towards this full moon in Aries, I was thinking about what it means to be this kind of leader. Not a leader who’s constantly pushing forward and trying to conquer, but one who has become tempered by time and grief and healing. The kind of leader I saw in my vision. The wise elder woman who sat with me in the darkest part of my story, holding my hand with such steady presence and power. She didn’t try to fix what couldn’t be fixed. She didn’t rush me or cheerlead me or pretend it wasn’t painful. She just stayed. That’s leadership.

That’s Aries at its most courageous and grounded. It is still full of fire, but the kind of fire that warms and illuminates.

BECOMING A LEADER WITH THE FULL MOON IN ARIES

And here’s the truth: if you feel called to grow something in this life, whether it’s a business, a body of work, a family, a movement, or even just your own healing, you are being asked to become a leader. And you don’t become a leader by doing it all on your own. No one does. Not truly. Every leader you’ve ever admired had help. Visible and invisible. Spirit allies, ancestors, friends, mentors, community. Trees, dreams, rivers. A prayer whispered in the dark. A grandmother’s strength in your bones. Support is part of what makes leadership possible.

So for this full moon, I created an Art Spell to Ask Your Spirit Team for Help. Because being a leader doesn’t mean you have all the answers. It means you know when to ask for guidance. It means you can admit when you’re at your edge and you need support. And it means you are willing to soften just enough to be led by something greater, something wiser and something more deeply rooted than your fear.

The world doesn’t need more people pretending to have it all together. The world needs more people who are learning to lead from the inside out and who are practicing being with what is, even when it’s uncomfortable. Things are getting really uncomfortable. We need to become the kind of people who can be with the discomfort not run away from it. We need people who are building the inner strength to stay with what is long enough to do something about it.

That’s what I believe we’re doing when we art journal with the moon and when we cast these quiet spells on the page. We’re becoming the kind of leaders the world actually needs.

So let this full moon in Aries be a turning point. Let it mark the moment where you help the parts of you that have been leading from survival with panic, push or flight and start practicing leading from the calm, solid life force within you. The part of you that can hold fire and not get burned. The part that listens before it leaps. The part that knows asking for help is not weakness.

Visit my blog and download the art spell if you feel called. Light a candle. Ask your spirit allies for the support you need not just for the week ahead, but for the version of you that is learning to lead.

ASTROLOGY HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE WEEK OF OCTOBER 6-12, 2025

This week is a mix of energies to work with. Here’s my breakdown of it for you.

Full Moon in Aries – Monday, October 6

This full moon is fiery, instinctual, and full of big energy. It might stir up big emotions or strong impulses, but it’s also the perfect time to get to know your inner leader, stand up for what you need and ask for support especially from the unseen forces that walk with you.

This is a moon that wants you to move, to take action, to push through resistance. Under this moon you may feel the urge to start something new, stand up for yourself, or push back on something you don’t want to do anymore. It’s a moon of courage and instinct, but it’s also a moon of insight.

Ask yourself: What wisdom am I open to receiving under this Full Moon? What truth am I ready to see?

The full moon in Aries is also moving toward a tense relationship with Jupiter, which adds another layer of energy. It is big, bold and heightened. Jupiter is the planet of expansion and support, so its influence can amplify everything about this moon. Emotions may feel bigger, decisions may feel more urgent, and turning points may arrive with more drama. You might notice something that isn’t going as well as you hoped or see exactly where you need to make an important improvement but don’t worry, it won’t be subtle. This energy makes the obvious obvious.

This is a wonderful time to ask your spirit team for help. Jupiter’s presence can bring blessings, support, and unseen allies into the picture, but it helps when you’re willing to reach out. This moon invites you to take a leap of faith, to follow your dreams, or to make a bold move but it also asks you to stay mindful. Because this is such an over-the-top energy, you may be tempted to take on more than you can realistically handle or agree to things that will stretch far beyond your current capacity. As my teacher Kelly Surtees reminded me, Aries is great for short-term sprints, not long-term marathons. So, by all means, harness this powerful push for momentum, but choose your moves wisely and watch out for saying YES! to more than you have the capacity to handle.

I think this moon is also a moon for reclaiming your autonomy and courageously naming what’s ready to shift or what you’re ready to receive.

The sacred side of Aries reminds you that you have the fundamental right and capacity to act and make choices for yourself, rather than being controlled by someone else’s expectations of you or the unspoken rules or expectations you may still be carrying from somewhere in your past.

You have the freedom to chase your own dreams and goals and when you do, you are allowed to ask for help. Just because you’re looking inward and choosing to listen to your own inner light, doesn’t mean you can’t be held and supported as you move towards what you want. The forces of love that support you want for you what your spirit wants for you too. No one who loves you is disagreeing with your heart and you are allowed to see what you really want. Everyone who truly loves you is on your side and what you want matters as much to them as it does to you.

This week, let your art journal or the art spell I’m going to share with you become a space where you say to your spirit team: “I’m here. I’m ready. Please help.”

A Time to Go Deep

On the same day as the full moon, Mercury (the planet of thinking and communication) moves into Scorpio. This adds a deeper, more emotional layer to your thoughts. You might feel more intuitive or more drawn to the mysteries of life. It’s a great time to connect with your inner voice, speak to your spirit allies, or explore ideas and feelings that live beneath the surface. It’s okay if your journaling and spells go a little deeper this week (and all month long actually).

A Time to Move Inward

Midweek, things may feel mentally intense as Mercury and Mars interact. This is the kind of energy that can stir up overthinking, old stories, or inner pressure. You might notice yourself getting caught in mental loops or feeling like something’s weighing on you. Try not to power through or silence it. As always when the energy is tense, this is a good time to pause, reflect, turn inward and be with it. Ask your spirit team or higher self to help you see what’s true, release what’s heavy, or transform what no longer serves.

A Time for Blessings

Also on Wednesday, we get a lovely, gentle moment of ease as Jupiter and Venus connect. This energy feels soft and generous and it’s a great time to receive emotional or financial support, connect in sweet ways with others, or feel a sense of something going right. It’s the kind of day where blessings come through simple things: a kind word, a surprise opportunity, or a deeper sense of peace. Stay open. Let yourself notice what’s working. This is a great day to ask your spirit team for the specific blessings you hope to receive this month.

A Time to Surrender

Later in the week, this energy might feel a little heavier as Venus has a tense relationship with Saturn. You may notice some emotional distance in relationships, feel more critical of yourself, or question your worth. It’s not a sign that something’s wrong. It’s a reminder to be gentle with yourself and not shut down or isolate. This is actually a beautiful moment to say to Spirit, “I don’t want to carry this alone anymore.” This is a good time to surrender old stories, ask for emotional support, or connect with someone you trust and allow yourself to be held or cared for.

HOW TO WORK WITH THIS WEEK’S ASTROLOGY IN YOUR BUSINESS

This week is an invitation to be the leader in your business. The Aries full moon gives you the energy to take action but don’t forget, leadership doesn’t mean doing it all alone. Sometimes it means recognizing where you’re being asked to step forward and where you’re being asked to slow down and receive.

This is a good week to get clear on your short-term goals. Aries gives us that extra push to begin or make bold moves, but with the Jupiter influence, things might feel bigger and more important than they actually are so before you commit to something with a long timeline, pause and ask yourself: Will I have the energy and support to sustain this later? Can I keep up this momentum when I’m at my lowest capacity? And to make sure you’re not biting off more than you can financially chew in the future, ask yourself: These payments or this financial commitment might feel okay right now but do they leave room for my income to fluctuate?

Mercury in Scorpio helps you see through the surface, so use this to your advantage. What is your business really asking from you? What deeper layer of clarity or healing is coming up around your message, your offers, or your visibility? Use this as a week to refine your voice and while you do ask your spirit allies for guidance. Ask them to help you move forward in a way that honors both your dreams and your body.

The art spell I created this week is perfect for this. Use it to speak your ask clearly and bravely. Whether you’re wanting more clients, more clarity, more income, or more peace, start with the ask. Your business is not meant to be carried alone.

HOW THIS WEEK’S ASTROLOGY MIGHT AFFECT YOUR HIGHLY SENSITIVE NATURE

There’s fire and water energy in the sky this week, which can make sensitive bodies and hearts feel both activated and emotionally tender. Aries energy might bring a burst of motivation, but it can also feel like pressure if you’re already running low on capacity. That’s why it’s so important to check in with your body before you act. Are you feeling a genuine call to move forward or are you just trying to keep up?

Venus opposite Saturn at the end of the week may bring up old stories about being too much, not enough, or unworthy of love and support. If that happens, try not to spiral into old patterns. Instead, pause and ask yourself: What would it look like to let myself be supported right now? Support doesn’t always look like a person swooping in. Sometimes it’s a tree. Sometimes it’s a breath. Sometimes it’s extra income coming in right when you need it. Sometimes it’s a spirit guide or a warm blanket. Let yourself notice what helps you feel held.

This is also a beautiful week to use your art journal as a place of energetic containment. Especially with Mercury in Scorpio, writing or painting out your feelings can bring a sense of relief and release. Let yourself be with what is arising, gently and with compassion.

HOW THIS WEEK’S ENERGY MIGHT AFFECT YOUR CLIENTS OR CUSTOMERS

Your clients may feel emotionally stirred up this week without fully understanding why. The Aries full moon might make them feel like they need to rush or act, while Mercury square Pluto could be quietly activating deeper fears, pressure, or intrusive thoughts. Some of your clients may be at a turning point personally or professionally and struggling with big questions about next steps.

You may notice that people are more open to spiritual support this week, especially as Mercury moves into Scorpio and the full moon illuminates themes of courage and personal power. Be aware that clients might come to you for guidance that is less strategic and more emotional or energetic.

If you’re a healer, coach, or service provider, you may also feel some people withdrawing or needing more space and rest, especially as Venus moves into a tense aspect with Saturn. Support them by offering grounding tools, normalizing emotional waves, and reminding them it’s okay to ask for help even from the unseen.

HOW TO LEAD YOUR COMMUNITY IN THIS WEEK’S ASTROLOGY

You don’t have to have all the answers. You just have to be willing to show up with presence, to name what’s real, and to hold space for yourself and others. Let your audience or community know that it’s normal to feel stretched by growth, uncertain in moments of change, or overwhelmed by the weight of our own expectations.

Be the one who reminds others that strength includes softness, and courage includes asking for help. This is a great time to share your own stories of support that show how you’ve been helped in the past, how you talk to your spirit allies, or what your own asking-for-help ritual looks like.

And if you lead a business that supports others, now is a good time to re-clarify what you need in order to keep showing up sustainably. The Aries full moon reminds you that leadership isn’t just about what you give. It’s also about how you receive.

HOW TO HARNESS THIS WEEK’S ASTROLOGY IN YOUR ART MAGIC
