Art Journal with the Moon: Themes and Prompts for July 14-20, 2025
In this post, I share a summary of the moon for the week of July 14-20, 2025 as it moves through the zodiac and interacts with the planets and I show you how to work with its energy in your art journal to grow yourself or your business. I also talk about working with the magic of Leo energy in your art journal.

Working with Leo Energy in Your Art Journal
This week, the sky is inviting us to get quiet, reflective, and honest with ourselves, especially when it comes to how we’ve been showing up in the Leo part of our charts. We’re in the waning moon phase, so the energy is already slowing down, softening, and pulling us inward. But now Mercury has begun its retrograde journey through Leo, and it’s like the universe is placing a gentle hand on our shoulder and asking us to pause. Not to stop completely but to step out of the performance, out of the spotlight, and into a deeper kind of presence with ourselves.
Mercury retrograde in Leo isn’t just about miscommunications or technology hiccups. It’s about reviewing how we express ourselves, how we speak from the heart, and how connected we feel to our inner light. Leo is the part of us that wants to shine because our spirit was never meant to stay hidden. But when Mercury is retrograde in Leo, that shining becomes more internal. Think of it as the time to look at the messages you’re sending yourself.
What have you been telling yourself about your worth? About your creativity? About your visibility?
Mercury retrograde in Leo wants you to reexamine the stories you carry about being seen, being valued, and taking up space. It’s a time to reflect on the ways you may have dulled your own light or tried to prove your worth through overperforming, over-giving, or shaping yourself to fit what others wanted from you.
At the same time, we’re in the final days of the current moon cycle. The waning moon is all about release, integration, and surrender. These phases aren’t always comfortable because they ask us to let go. But they’re sacred because they clear the path. So when you weave the retrograde Mercury and the waning moon together, the invitation becomes clear:
What old story about your voice, your creativity, or your presence are you ready to rewrite?
What needs to be cleared before the new moon in Leo can plant something new in your life?
The moon is waning. Mercury is retracing its steps. We’re being asked to revisit, reframe, and realign before we begin again. And we’re doing all this while standing at the threshold of Leo season. Leo season is a season that’s meant to remind us of our sovereignty, our light, and the magic that only we can bring into the world. But that magic can’t come through clearly if we’re still tangled in old stories about who we’re allowed to be.
Revealing the Essence That is You
Leo season is here to remind you of something you may have forgot long ago, or were never given the chance to fully believe. That you carry light. That there is something inside of you – some voice, some medicine, some essence – that is unlike anyone else’s, and it’s meant to be shared.
But here’s the tender truth. For many of us, especially those of us who grew up in environments where our needs weren’t seen, where our feelings were too big for the people around us, or where being bright or expressive or different made us unsafe, this message doesn’t land easily. It might sound beautiful on the surface, but deep inside, a part of you might still be asking, Am I really allowed to be seen like that? Am I really allowed to want what I want? To speak the way I speak? To take up space and shine without being punished, judged, or abandoned?
Use the lunar energy this week to heal the parts of you that were taught to hide the most vital parts of who you are. Leo is ruled by the sun. And the sun shines not because it’s trying to be special but because that is its nature. And somewhere deep within each of us, there’s a self that wants to do the same. To radiate naturally. To be in alignment with what feels honest and alive. To create, to serve, to speak, to lead from soul.
But that light can’t come through clearly when you’re still tangled in the old stories. And many of those stories were woven long before you knew how to question them. Stories like, “If I’m too much, I’ll be rejected.” Or, “If I succeed, I’ll be resented.” Or, “If I’m visible, I’ll be unsafe.” And if you grew up in a home where love was conditional, where emotional expression wasn’t modeled or welcomed, or where creativity and power were shamed or ignored, these stories can live deep in your nervous system. They can sit quietly in the background shaping the way you hold back in your business, your relationships, and your dreams. That is definitely how it has been for me and the more I clear, the freer I feel.
Leo season brings all this to the surface. It’s a time to step into your rightful place in your own life. But this isn’t about forcing yourself to “be confident” or act more courageous than you feel. It’s about reclaiming your inner throne. It’s about letting your core essence be the center of your world again.
It’s the quiet decision to listen to yourself. To trust your desires. To create something just because it brings you joy.
Leo season teaches us that expression is a spiritual act. That claiming your voice, your presence and your truth is part of how you heal the trauma of invisibility. It’s part of how you repair the damage of emotional neglect. Every time you choose yourself with love, you’re not just tending to your business or your art. You’re tending to the younger version of you who needed that choice so long ago and didn’t receive it.
And as creators and healers, this work is essential. Because the magic you carry and the message you’re here to share and the beauty you’re here to create and the love you’re here to ripple outward can only reach others when you let it move through you. If you stay tangled in the old stories, that magic stays stuck. But when you begin to trust that your light isn’t dangerous and that your presence is a gift, something profound begins to shift. Not just in you, but in the people you’re here to serve.
What Makes It Hard for Me to Shine My Light
I’m going to be sitting deeply with this energy this week, too. It’s a reminder I need to sink a little deeper into my bones because I know what it’s like to feel like there’s something inside that wants to ripple outward. I know what it’s like to want to help, to heal, to inspire, to change something in this world but also to feel how that something gets tangled up in the pain of the past. I have such a big, stubborn, determined light that wants to feel free to shine but I’ve lived with that tangle. The fear that if I shine too brightly, I’ll be punished or misunderstood or that I’ll be too much. That if I stand in my truth, I’ll somehow hurt someone else.
The fear that “if I stand in my truth, I’ll somehow hurt someone else” is the feeling I get tangled up in the most. I think this happens because when I was being my honest, bright, emotional, magical or sensitive self when I was younger, it did create distress or tension in my environment. And that wasn’t because I was wrong. It was because the people around me didn’t have the tools, capacity, or maturity to meet me there.
Most of the adults around me at the time were emotionally fragile, overwhelmed, unpredictable, or unavailable so I learned to tiptoe around my own truth. When I expressed strong feelings, asked for what I needed, or simply showed up as my full self, I was often met with withdrawal, punishment, guilt, or silence. I didn’t mean to but I ended up internalizing the message: “When I am real, someone else suffers. When I show up fully, it causes harm.”
Self-suppression was my survival strategy. Maybe it was yours too. Maybe you learned to scan for others’ needs, shrink yourself, and stay safe by being what others wanted or needed you to be. And this can run so deep that even now, as a grown, empowered person, a part of you still associates truth-telling with causing harm.
But I suspect, there’s also something to be said about how deeply loving and conscientious you are. Your intention has always been to care for others, to create beauty and healing and safety in the world. So if standing in your truth happens to create discomfort or disagreement or disappointment, it feels excruciating, because the last thing you ever want to do is cause pain.
But here’s the thing: your truth isn’t a weapon. Your truth is medicine. It may not be comfortable for everyone, especially those still hiding from their own truth, but that doesn’t make it harmful. In fact, when you speak or live your truth with love, groundedness, and self-trust, it becomes a mirror for others. It becomes an invitation, not a threat.
Plus, it’s important to remember that the people who truly belong in your world want your truth. Your soul clients, your community, your loved ones, they aren’t asking you to twist or contort yourself. They’re asking for your light, your clarity, your realness. And when you share it, even if it stirs things up, it opens the door for deeper intimacy, healing, and growth.
So if you carry this fear (and if you’re like me, you do) just know it makes perfect sense. But it doesn’t have to lead anymore. You get to be both kind and clear. Tender and powerful. You get to stand in your truth and trust that doing so is a service, not a threat.
I think we’re meant to allow our truth and our light to move through us because when I make space for my voice, when I trust my hands to create, when I let Spirit speak through my art and my words and my sessions, that’s when the real magic happens. The magic happens when I say yes to being me.
The magic happens when you say yes to being you.
That’s what this moon energy is reminding me. It’s about trusting that I am part of something loving and wise and ancient and that my softness and sensitivity and strange little ways are part of how that wisdom reaches the world.
I see it over and over again (and I’m sure you do too) that when I do let my light shine through, it doesn’t just shift something in me. It shifts something in others, too. It gives them permission to feel, to create, to heal, to remember who they really are. That’s the medicine. That’s the real work. That’s why I’m here.
So when I say “don’t let the magic stay stuck,” I’m not just encouraging you. I’m reminding myself. Because my light matters too. My message. My beauty. My love. My healing. So let’s walk this path together with all this Leo energy, heart open, light shining, tangled stories and all.
And please know, I’m not asking you to push past your fears or pretend to be someone you’re not. I’m inviting you to remember that your light is real. That your story matters. That your sensitivity and your radiance are not at odds with each other.
And if you want a place to start, open your art journal. Create a page that honors your inner light. Maybe draw a sun, or a throne, or a radiant heart. Maybe just write down the stories you’re ready to let go of such as the ones that taught you it wasn’t safe to be you. Then, make space for a new story. One that says: I get to be seen. I get to want what I want. I get to show up as myself and that is more than enough.
Because it is. And you are.
So if your energy feels lower this week, or you feel more emotional or uncertain, let that be okay. Let yourself follow the moon into the dark. Trust that this turning inward is part of your process. And if your art journal becomes a place where you reconnect with your voice, your truth, or your inner flame, know that’s a form of magic too. Sometimes it’s not about showing up louder. It’s about showing up more honestly. And the Leo new moon coming next week will be ready to receive whatever clarity you’ve found in the quiet of these waning moon phases.

Monday
The week kicks off with the disseminating moon in Pisces on Monday.
Pisces is a mutable water sign. Pisces energy is calm and highly receptive. It can help you absorb more information from the environment and from other people. This is great when the energy you are absorbing is helpful, nurturing and positive but its not so great when the energy that surrounds you is heavy, intense, negative or unhealthy.
When the moon is in the sign of Pisces, it creates an atmosphere rich with intuition, creativity, and imagination. Pisces is a water sign, known for its deep emotional reservoirs, spiritual depth, and boundless imagination. This sign is associated with dreams, mysticism, and the unseen worlds, making the moon’s stay in Pisces a time when your intuitive and creative energies are heightened.
For highly sensitive people, especially those with creative dreams, this period can be particularly supportive. The energy of Pisces encourages you to tap into your innermost feelings and to trust your intuition. It’s a time when the veil between the tangible world and the realm of imagination seems thinner, allowing creative ideas to flow more freely.
The moon in Pisces offers a gentle reminder to embrace your sensitivity as a strength, especially when you’re working on a creative project or using your creativity. Your sensitive nature supports you in delving into the depths of your imagination, exploring your dreams without restraint, and expressing your findings in whatever medium speaks to you. Whether it’s writing, painting, music, or another form of artistic expression, the emotional and spiritual properties of this lunar placement provide a fertile ground for creativity to blossom.
The moon in Pisces also encourages a kind of compassionate self-reflection that can be incredibly healing. It’s a time to be gentle with yourself, to allow your dreams and desires to surface without judgment, and to explore the possibilities they hold. The intuitive energy of Pisces under the moon’s influence also helps you to connect more deeply with your true desires and to find creative ways to bring them into the world.
Ultimately, the moon in Pisces invites you to dive into your imagination, to trust your intuition, and to allow your creativity to flow uninhibited.
For highly sensitive people, the Pisces energy can can feel like a double-edged sword. On one hand, it enhances your ability to empathize and connect deeply with others, tapping into a well of creativity and spiritual insight. On the other, it can lead to feeling overwhelmed by absorbing too much from your surroundings, whether it’s the mood of a crowd, the vibe of a place, or even the emotional states of the people you love.
The emotions and energy you unconsciously absorb affect your body and when you don’t process or release any of it, it can also be stored in your body.
Today is a good day to find creative ways in your art journal to filter and release the energies and emotions that don’t serve you or your body. This way you will preserve your emotional well-being while still embracing your natural empathy and intuition.
Here is an art journaling suggestion designed to help you cleanse unwanted energies and emotions.
Use water and watercolors to release and wash away.
Start by laying down colors that represent the emotions and energies you’ve absorbed. You probably won’t be conscious of everything you’ve absorbed so allow your intuition and creativity to guide you. Don’t focus on creating anything specific; let the colors flow and blend as they will.
Then, with a clean brush and clear water, go over the page, imagining the unwanted energies washing away, leaving you clean and refreshed.
By art journaling with the Pisces moon today, you can harness the deep, empathetic qualities of this moon day in a way that nurtures and protects your sensitive nature.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents the energy, thoughts or emotions you want the Pisces moon to wash away.
Tuesday
On Tuesday, the disseminating moon is void of course most of day but then it forms a happy relationship with Uranus.
On Tuesday, we spend most of the day in that in-between space because the moon is void of course for many hours, which usually means it’s a good time to pause, take a breath, and not force anything forward. You might notice that things feel a little fuzzy or that your energy isn’t super clear or focused. That’s okay. It’s not a time to fix or figure things out. It’s more like a liminal space and a space to reflect, tidy up loose ends, and give your nervous system a break. That’s how I like to think of the void moon: like hitting the pause button.
Then later in the evening, the moon moves into Aries and makes a happy connection with Uranus in Gemini. This feels like a little spark of inspiration or courage showing up. Uranus is the planet of change and breakthroughs. It helps us think outside the box and trust the future we’re building, even if it looks different than what we’ve known before. So when the moon connects with Uranus in a supportive way, it’s a good moment to receive intuitive nudges or fresh ideas that help you keep going. It’s like the universe whispering, “You’re not crazy and you really can do things your own way.”
Then, as the moon keeps moving through Aries, it gets closer to Saturn and Neptune. Saturn wants us to build things that last. Neptune invites us to imagine what’s possible. And together, they’re helping us figure out how to turn dreams into something real but it’s a slow process, and it asks a lot of us. It asks for structure and vision at the same time. And now that the moon is moving through this part of the sky, we’re getting a chance to feel into that work in a more emotional, embodied way.
So how do we work with all this in our art journals?
If you’re working with the moon in your art journal in the morning or afternoon, during the void moon, you might simply open your journal and let yourself rest. Scribble, smudge, or write something gentle. Ask yourself:
What feels unfinished?
What loose ends am I ready to release or close up?
Let the page be a space for quiet integration.
Or if you art journal with the moon in the evening, once the moon moves into Aries, you can shift into a more forward-looking kind of practice. Aries brings that spark of movement and drive. Maybe draw a small flame or a torch and think about what you’re ready to carry forward. Around it, you can write or draw symbols of the structures you’re building in your life or business right now and especially the ones that might take time but are still rooted in a deep dream.
Let Uranus bring some freedom to that page too. Add a word, image, or doodle that feels bold, playful, or a little outside the box. Something that reminds you that you’re allowed to do things differently. That you don’t need to follow the old rules.
And as the moon moves closer to Saturn and Neptune, you might end your page with a reminder: I’m allowed to dream big, and I’m allowed to take my time building it. The process is part of the magic.
Let your journal be a place where that vision and that structure begin to come together and where your big-hearted dreams meet your steady, grounded actions.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that either helps you release and clear old thoughts or energy you no longer need or reminds you that you get to make your own rules.
Wednesday
On Wednesday, the disseminating moon is moving through the early degrees of Aries.
Bear with me because I have a lot to say about this moon today.
This Aries part of the sky has felt extra charged lately. There’s something big happening here. Aries is already a sign of initiation and bold movement, but now it’s also where some major long-term astrological energies are starting to settle in. With Saturn and Neptune hanging out in Aries, and with Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius forming relationships to this same space in the zodiac, it’s like a powerful crossroads has opened up and it’s one that will stay with us for a while.
The outer planets move slowly, which means their impact is long-lasting. We usually talk about them in terms of collective change and yes, we’re living through some deep shifts in our world but these planets speak to us personally too, especially when we’re doing soul work or growing a business that’s connected to our calling.
The outer planets, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto, are all beginning their journeys through new signs: Saturn and Neptune are now in Aries, Uranus is in Gemini, and Pluto is in Aquarius. These are slow-moving planets. They don’t rush. When they change signs, they stay a while. They shape long cycles of transformation, and they stir things on a level that touches not just individuals, but generations and entire ways of being. So yes, this energy is big. And yes, it’s about the collective. But it’s also about you.
Because if you’re here to serve and if you’re a healer, a creator, or someone who feels a soul-deep calling to help others, these changes are personal and they’re affecting a personal part of your birth chart which means they’re activating something inside of you too and affecting different areas of your life. They’re activating something ancient. Something sacred. Something ready.
The world is shifting and the old ways of leading, growing, and creating are dissolving. And you, with your open heart and your lived experience and your magic and your wounds and your wisdom, are part of what comes next. These planetary movements are not just abstract energies in the sky, they are living invitations asking you to become the leader your soul came here to be. And I don’t mean the loudest voice in the room. I mean the truest. The one who leads with presence, alignment, and love. The one who has the courage to bring gentleness and spiritual integrity into their business and creative life. The one who knows that what the world needs is not more noise but more truth and transparency and beauty.
If you want to get curious about what this might mean for you, take a look at the Aries, Gemini, and Aquarius parts of your birth chart.
What houses do they fall in?
What areas of your life do they rule?
Aries might be calling you to initiate something new and to claim your independence, your boldness and your voice. Especially with Saturn and Neptune there, this is about building new structures that are soul-aligned and sustainable. This isn’t about forcing yourself to do things the old way. It’s about trusting your own fire enough to follow it.
Gemini might be asking you to communicate, connect, teach, write, or share in new ways. Uranus brings innovation, surprise, and liberation.
Where have you been holding back out of fear?
Where are you being cracked open to think differently and show up more authentically?
Aquarius might be asking you to play a bigger role in the community or collective on your own terms. Pluto here is transforming your relationship to power. It’s helping you face what’s been repressed, and it’s offering the courage to lead from your values, your truth and your calling and not from what you think others want from you.
When you start to piece these parts together, it can feel like a quiet but strong signal rising from within. A signal that says: This is your time to choose. To root into what’s true. To listen deeply. And to begin shaping the work and the life and the business that only you can bring into the world.
This is how you walk in partnership with these big energies not as something happening to you, but as something moving through you. And as you keep showing up in your art journal page by page and moon by moon, you’ll start to feel how supported you really are. How these planetary shifts are not just massive collective turning points…they’re deeply personal invitations to rise.
And this week, the moon the most emotionally immediate planet in our charts, the moon, is moving through this hot, activated part of the sky and reflecting it all down to us. It’s almost like she’s shining a flashlight into the future and saying, this is the direction the energy is moving now. And if you’re sensitive, you can probably feel that stirring deep down.
But the moon isn’t just amplifying all that fire and intensity today. She’s also making a soft, sweet connection to Venus and a tense but potentially generous connection to Jupiter. So even as the changes ahead feel big or unknown, there’s some support here too. Venus offers comfort, connection and grounding. Jupiter brings expansion and growth, even through challenge. So the energy isn’t just, “Everything’s changing, hold on tight.” It’s more like, Things are changing, and here’s a little extra grace to help you find your footing as you rise into what’s next.
In your art journal, this is a beautiful day to sit with the question:
What part of me is ready to rise into something new?
Because we’re in the waning moon phases, it’s also a great time to ask the question:
What do I need to let go, clear or release in order to rise into something new?
Even if you don’t have a clear answer, just sit with the question. You can draw a horizon line or a rising flame or even a doorway. Around it, collage or sketch some of the bigger energies that feel like they’re touching your life lately such as shifts in how you show up, where your business wants to go, or what your soul is nudging you toward.
Then, invite in the blessings. Draw or write something for Venus like something soft, loving, or beautiful that helps you feel safe in your body or supported in your work.
What would feel good to receive right now? What would bring ease?
And for Jupiter, even though the square aspect can feel like pressure or overwhelm, you can work with it by asking:
What is stretching me right now? And where might this stretch actually be an opportunity for growth or expansion?
Let this journal page hold all of it: the boldness of Aries, the support of Venus, the pressure and potential of Jupiter, and the quiet moonlight helping you process what’s moving through. You don’t need to have all the answers. But taking 20 minutes to sit with these energies, feel them in your body, and move them through your hands onto the page can help you stay rooted while you grow.
This is how we show up with courage and care. This is how we hold space for change in our lives and in our work one moonlit page at a time.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents what you need to release, clear or let go in order to rise into something new.
Thursday
On Thursday, the last quarter moon is in the sign of Aries and having a happy relationship with Mercury.
Even though Mercury is just about to station retrograde in the sign of Leo, I think this connection between them still matters. The kind of happy relationship the moon is having with Mercury speaks of harmony and ease, and this one feels like a moment of clarity or insight, especially around your voice, your message, or something you’ve been trying to say or share in your business.
Mercury is the planet of communication, and Leo wants to speak from the heart. So even though Mercury is slowing down to begin its retrograde journey, the moon is gently shining its light on something important that might be trying to surface.
But here’s the thing about Mercury retrograde: I don’t think it’s here just to mess everything up. It’s here to help us revisit something that matters. Something we may have rushed past. Something that needs to be seen in a new way. And because it’s happening in Leo, that “something” might have to do with how you express yourself, how visible you allow yourself to be, or whether or not your words are aligned with the truth of who you are.
If you’re a sensitive creator or healer, this kind of retrograde can bring up all kinds of stories like “I don’t know what to say” or “People won’t get me” or “What if I say it wrong?” And those stories often come from old places. They come from places where your voice wasn’t heard or welcomed or safe. So when Mercury stations retrograde in Leo, it’s a good time to slow down and listen to those parts of you. The tender ones. The cautious ones. The ones who learned to stay quiet because it didn’t feel safe to shine.
In your art journal today, you might want to create a page about your voice. You could draw or collage a picture of your throat, or your heart, or your mouth and ask, “What part of me wants to speak?” You could also journal with the prompt, “What message is trying to come through me right now that I’m not yet allowing myself to say?” Let the moon in Aries help you be bold in naming it. Let Mercury retrograde show you the places that still need gentleness and revision.
This energy is especially powerful for growing your business from a place of authenticity and integrity. You don’t need to force clarity. You don’t need to push out content just to keep up. You get to take your time. You get to pause and ask: Is what I’m creating and saying still true for me? And if not, you get to shift it.
So as the day unfolds, let yourself feel into the wisdom of both energies: the clear spark of the Aries moon and the thoughtful, heart-centered slowing down of Mercury in Leo. Together, they’re inviting you to check in with your voice and not just how it sounds, but where it comes from. And as you do that in your journal, you’re not just making art. You’re making space for your truth to grow stronger, steadier, and more radiant in your work and in the world.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents your voice and how you want to share it in the world.
Friday
On Friday, the last quarter moon in Taurus is having a happy relationship with Jupiter.
To me, this feels like a soft, generous moment in the lunar cycle. The kind of energy that doesn’t push or demand, but instead whispers, “Look at how far you’ve come. What can you lovingly release so you can grow even more?”
Taurus is a sign that knows how to trust the pace of the earth. It doesn’t rush. It doesn’t skip steps. It teaches us how to move slow and steady, how to create safety in our bodies and in our daily rhythms. And when the moon is in Taurus, especially in the last quarter phase, there’s a deep invitation to reflect, simplify, and let go from a place of devotion. From a place of self-trust.
And then there’s Jupiter in Cancer which is expansive, protective and emotionally rich. Jupiter is the planet of blessings, and in Cancer, those blessings often come through care, nourishment, and connection. It’s like the energy of a loving ancestor wrapping you in a quilt they made by hand, telling you, “You’re safe to let this go now. You’re ready for more.”
So this is really a moment of ease between what we’re ready to release (Taurus moon) and the emotional expansion that’s waiting for us when we do (Jupiter in Cancer). It reminds me that sometimes the most powerful growth doesn’t come from doing more, it comes from clearing space. From tending to what’s already here. From choosing to believe that gentleness and grace are productive.
In your art journal, you might want to create a page that honors something you’re letting go of and not because it’s bad or wrong, but because you’ve simply outgrown it. Maybe it’s an old belief about what success is “supposed” to look like. Maybe it’s a habit or a fear that’s been quietly running the show behind the scenes of your business. Or maybe it’s just a way of working that no longer fits how your nervous system wants to move through the world.
You could draw a garden bed being cleared. Or a tree shedding its leaves. Or a river washing away the old. And then, alongside that image, you might want to write a simple prayer or affirmation for what you’re opening to now. Something like: “I release what no longer supports my growth. I welcome what nourishes me deeply.”
Let the moon and Jupiter remind you today that your healing, your releasing and your rest are all sacred. All of it is part of the path. And even as you slow down, even as you soften, your business is still growing. You are still growing. Because the roots you tend to now are the ones that will support what you harvest in the future.
In your art journal, draw, paint or collage an image that represents what you feel safe to let go of now and what you feel safe to receive in its place.
Saturday
On Saturday, we’re still working with the energy of the last quarter moon, and she’s moving through the earthy, slow-moving sign of Taurus.
There’s something steady about Taurus moon energy. It reminds us to come back to what’s real, what’s tangible, what we can actually touch and hold and feel in our bodies and not the swirl in our minds or swirl with the pressure to keep pushing. Instead, Taurus moon energy invites us to be with the truth that’s sitting right here in the present moment.
This moon is also having a supportive relationship with Mars in Virgo early in the day. I love this pairing. Taurus and Virgo are both earth signs, and when they speak to each other like this, it can feel like you’re being supported to take action in a grounded, thoughtful, meaningful way. This isn’t the kind of Mars energy that wants to go fast or be dramatic. It’s more like: make a list, clear your space, fix that one small thing you’ve been ignoring that’s been quietly draining your energy. It’s a beautiful time to get practical and not to chase after more, but to tend to what already exists in your business with care and intention.
You might feel like your nervous system gets a little relief here. Like it’s easier to organize your thoughts, make decisions, and do something concrete that actually helps you feel a little more in control. The kind of control that comes from clarity and trust, not from gripping or overworking.
Later in the day, though, the moon moves into a square with Mercury in Leo, which can stir up some tension between your body and your mind or between your need for quiet and rest and your desire to be seen or heard. Mercury in Leo wants to express. It wants to speak big truths and shine. But that energy can feel a little too hot or too much when it bumps up against the calm, methodical moon in Taurus. It might show up as second-guessing something you shared or created. Or maybe you want to say something bold in your business, but your inner parts get nervous or unsure.
And that’s okay.
That tension is here to show you something. Not to punish or derail you but to reveal where you might still be trying to keep the peace or protect yourself by staying quiet when something in you actually wants to be expressed.
In your art journal today, you could create two sides of a page. On one side, reflect on what feels clear, steady, and aligned in your business right now. Draw or write about the tiny actions that are helping you stay rooted in your work. Maybe it’s a habit, a boundary, or a value that you’re honoring more than ever. Let the Taurus and Mars relationship remind you that the little things matter. That magic can be quiet and simple and slow.
Then on the other side of the page, you could explore the tension that might be coming up between your steadiness and your desire to speak up, stand out, or do something more expressive. Maybe draw a flame or a burst of color that feels like your inner Leo voice trying to get through. Ask yourself gently:
Is there something I want to say that I haven’t said yet?
Am I holding back my truth because I don’t want to rock the boat?
The moon is helping you hold both your stability and your fire. Your need to feel safe and your longing to be seen. There’s no rush to sort it all out. Just bring awareness to it all. Just invite curiosity. Just bring the kind of compassionate listening that allows the next right step to come effortlessly into focus.
Let this moon help you find a way to be true to yourself today in both what you do and in what you say because both matter.
In your art journal, paint, draw or collage an image that represents something you want to say that you haven’t said yet.
Sunday
On Sunday the moon is still in her last quarter phase.
The last quarter phase is the part of the lunar cycle where we reflect, refine, and release. It’s a time to get honest with ourselves. A time to clear out the mental clutter and emotional residue that’s no longer serving where we’re going. And this Sunday, as she moves into the early degrees of Gemini, she’s picking up on something big.
The moon in Gemini is curious. It wants to understand. It wants to ask questions, name things, gather information, and connect dots. But it’s not just a surface-level curiosity today. The moon is activating all three of the outer planets as well including, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, which means something deeper is being stirred.
She starts by meeting Uranus in Gemini. This is a spark. A flash of insight. Maybe an unexpected thought pops into your head that helps you reframe something you’ve been stuck on. Maybe you hear something or say something that shifts your perspective. Uranus brings breakthroughs, but it can also bring nervous energy, especially in the sign of Gemini, which already moves fast. If your mind feels scattered or your body feels overstimulated, that’s okay. Breathe. Come back to the page. Let the moon help you make meaning from the chaos.
The moon also has a supportive relationship with both Saturn and Neptune in Aries. These two planets don’t usually play well together because Saturn wants structure and form whereas Neptune wants to dissolve and dream. But in Aries, they’re both encouraging movement. They want you to imagine new possibilities and start building them into reality. The moon in Gemini picks up on this and says, “Let’s explore. Let’s talk about it. Let’s make a plan that actually feels alive.”
And finally, the moon is in a happy relationship with Pluto in Aquarius. This is the emotional depth of the day. Pluto wants you to claim your power. In Aquarius, it’s not about power-over, but power with like the kind of influence that comes from being rooted in your truth and sharing it in service of the collective. The moon in Gemini helps you name the truths that have been rising inside you. It helps you start to articulate the new version of yourself you’re growing into, especially in your work and your leadership.
This is a powerful day for your art journal. You could create a page that maps out the messages, visions, or realizations that are coming through. You could draw a brain or a web or a constellation or some kind of symbol that helps you visualize the way your thoughts, feelings, and insights are connecting. You could even list or collage words that represent what you’re releasing as this moon cycle winds down, and what you’re preparing to speak or share in the next one.
Ask yourself:
What truth am I finally ready to name?
What mental or emotional noise can I release to hear myself more clearly?
What idea has been waiting for me to give it space and structure?
Let this moon remind you: your thoughts matter. Your voice matters. And the way you think, yes, even the nonlinear, sensitive, intuitive way you process the world is not a flaw. It’s a gift. When you take time to understand yourself, you create a business (and a life) that’s built on truth and that truth is magnetic.
You don’t have to have it all figured out today. You just have to be willing to listen so go sit with your art journal and the moon and listen to yourself.
