Embrace Your Authentic Self with the 30-Day Release Your Magic Art Challenge

I’m on a mission to transform how I see myself in 30 days so I can create the life I want – are you in?

The FREE 30-Day Release Your Magic Art Challenge is a creative journey where we’ll use daily handprint art to explore and transform our identities. It starts on Thursday, August 22, 2024 and ends on September 20th. I’m doing this to release old beliefs that no longer serve me and to connect more deeply with my true, wild spirit. Join me if you’re ready to uncover who you really are and embrace your authentic self through the power of art and magic.

Why I started this challenge?

Identity is powerful.

Your identity is how you see yourself—what you believe about who you are, what you’re capable of, and what you deserve. These beliefs shape your thoughts, actions, and decisions every day. If you see yourself as confident and worthy, you’re likely to take actions that lead to success and fulfillment. On the other hand, if you see yourself as unimportant or incapable, you might hold back, miss opportunities, or settle for less than you want. In this way, your identity directly influences the life you create for yourself. It’s like a blueprint that guides everything you do, so the way you see yourself ends up shaping the reality you live in.

When you align with your true self, you start to live in a way that feels authentic and fulfilling. You make choices that resonate with your values, passions, and desires, leading to a life that feels more meaningful and satisfying. Aligning with your true self is important because it allows you to fully express your unique gifts and talents, experience greater joy, and create a life that truly reflects who you are at your core.

Unfortunately, when you experience trauma or emotional neglect in childhood, it can deeply affect how you see yourself. As a child, you rely on the people around you, especially caregivers, to help you understand your worth and place in the world. If you were neglected or your needs and wants weren’t attuned to or you experienced trauma, you most likely developed beliefs that you were not important, not lovable, or that you had to stay small and invisible to stay safe.

These experiences can lead you to create identities based on fear, shame, or the need to protect yourself. For example, you might start to believe that you’re not good enough or that you don’t deserve love and attention. These identities become deeply ingrained and often continue to influence your thoughts, feelings, and actions long after the original trauma or neglect happened. This is why, as an adult, you might still see yourself in ways that don’t truly reflect who you are, but rather are shaped by those painful early experiences. It’s important to recognize and heal these identities so you can reconnect with your true self and live in a way that reflects your authentic spirit.

I’m excited to do this challenge because I’ve seen firsthand the incredible changes that happened in my life when I changed how I see myself. Through deep work with my subconscious mind and using the MAP Method, I was able to address the root beliefs I’ve carried about who I am, beliefs that were rooted in trauma and emotional neglect. I used to identify as small and unimportant because younger parts of me needed to feel safe, but as I started healing and changing how I saw myself, everything transformed for the better. I began to see who I really am, and life started reflecting my wild spirit back to me. I ended up with a life that’s truly built around me—my preferences, my purpose, my talents, and what my spirit came here to do.

Now, I want to take that even further and free more of my wild spirit. I’m curious about which identities I’m still holding onto that no longer serve me, and I want to take my healing to the next level. I believe this art challenge will help me do that by allowing me to explore how I see myself in the hidden parts of my subconscious. I’ll use the art to uncover identities that need transforming or healing, and to connect with and attune to my wild spirit—listening to it and discovering who I want to become now. When I’m ready, I’ll work with the MAP Method again to release and transform those identities that no longer serve me. While working with the MAP Method isn’t part of this free art challenge, it’s the next step in the journey, and I want to share that with you too in case you want to take your healing to the next level and join my upcoming 30-Day Wild Witch Activation.

I’m also doing this free art challenge because I want to connect more deeply with my inner wildness and my inner witch and I’d love for you to join me on that adventure as well. The wild witch, as I’m using it here, represents the part of you that is untamed, powerful, and deeply connected to nature and your own true essence. It’s about stepping into your power, embracing your unique magic, and living authentically as the person you were always meant to be. Through this challenge, I hope to embody more of that wild spirit, to live more freely and fully, and to inspire you to do the same.

What is the challenge exactly?

The 30-Day Release Your Magic Art Challenge is a creative journey where you’ll create a piece of handprint art each day for 30 days. As you do this, you’ll explore old identities that no longer serve you and choose new identities that better align with who you really are. The purpose of the challenge is to use art as a tool to dig deep into how you see yourself. By creating handprint art, you can visually and emotionally explore, release, and embody different aspects of your identity, focusing on those that resonate with your wild, authentic self. This challenge is all about identity transformation—letting go of the old, limiting beliefs that have shaped your life and embracing a version of yourself that truly reflects your core spirit. By aligning with your true self, you can start to create a life that feels more authentic, powerful, and fulfilling.

This challenge is for anyone who wants to explore and transform their identity, and you don’t need to be good at art or consider yourself an artist to join. All you have to do is tap into your inner five-year-old—just trace your hand and doodle or draw whatever comes to mind as you reflect on your identity and how you see yourself. It’s an intuitive process where each day, you greet the page with an open mind, ready to notice and observe your thoughts about who you are. As you trace your hand, you can fill the shape with doodles, words, collage, colors, lines, shapes, symbols, or whatever feels right that day. It’s as simple as that: trace your hand, contemplate how you see yourself, and think about which identities you want to keep and which ones you want to change, all while creating whatever comes to your heart inside the shape of your hand.

Why handprint art?

Tracing your hand is significant because handprints are a powerful symbol of identity, action, and presence. Your handprint and the shape of your hand is unique to you—no one else has the exact same one—making it a personal imprint of your journey. This makes the art you create deeply personal and meaningful, as it reflects who you are at your core. Each day’s handprint art will help you explore different aspects of your identity, allowing you to see which parts of yourself you want to release and which you want to embody. By tracing your hand and filling it with your thoughts, feelings, and creativity, you’re taking action to consciously shape the person you want to become.

I also like the long history of handprint art which dates back thousands of years to ancient cave paintings. In these early artworks, people would often leave handprints on cave walls. I always felt like these handprints held deep symbolic meaning. Some scholars suggest that these handprints were a way for ancient people to mark their presence, assert their identity, or communicate with the spiritual world. The handprints might have represented a connection to the divine, a way of leaving a part of oneself behind, or even a protective symbol.

The spiritual significance of the hand is also profound. In many cultures, the hand is seen as a symbol of power, creativity, and connection. Our hands are the tools through which we interact with the world, create, and manifest our intentions. By tracing your hand in this challenge, you’re tapping into this rich history and symbolism, using your hands to create art that is not only personal but also deeply spiritual. Each handprint becomes a statement of who you are, where you’ve been, and where you’re going. It’s a way to connect with your past, present, and future selves, and to explore the identities that shape your life.

As you engage in daily creative expression, you’ll find greater clarity, empowerment, and alignment with your true self. The act of creating every day will help you connect more deeply with your wild spirit and bring more of your authentic self into the world.
